My Ambition made a pleasing return at Lingfield last month and although the same can't be said for Magical Merlin after he dropped away tamely at Kempton, it would be unwise to write him off.

Billy Loughnane gets back aboard Mohmentous for the first time since his debut and he is of interest, as is Lady Lauren, and it would come as no great surprise were Atalanta Mist to leave a moderate seasonal return behind.

BRINTON made a race of it with a bang in-form winner at Wolverhampton and that form has worked out well, with her conqueror and the third both going agonisingly close since, and even the fifth was only just beaten at Nottingham next time. Jonathan Portman's mare is probably happiest on an artificial surface, but she is capable enough on turf. Man Is King hasn't been far away of late and heads a list of dangers that also includes Simba's Gift and C&D winners Scenario and Havana Club.
