Another competitive handicap in which a few will fancy their chances but the vote goes to QAZAQ, who can build on an agonising C&D defeat to regain the winning thread. Esque Elegance finally got off the mark at Newcastle last week and it won't be a surprise if she kicks on with her confidence boosted. Her turf form is nothing to write home about, though, so preference is for ALPINE SIERRA, who has been pipped in head-bobbing finishes at Newcastle and Wolverhampton and has a better record on this surface. A slipped saddle meant that Staffordshire didn't get a proper chance to supplement his Newcastle victory at the same circuit and he can't be written off yet.

Filey Beach is worth a look now he has a recent run under his belt.
