CLASSIC KING found the Pertemps Final too much for him and he returned to fences with a solid runner-up effort at Stratford. Ira Hayes was a fortunate winner of a beginners chase at Tramore and will need to improve in what looks a tougher race on paper. With that in mind, Bumpy Evans may prove to be the biggest threat.

A winner last time out at Bangor, he seemed to appreciate the step back up to this trip and an added 9lb may not be enough to stop him doubling up.

DE DELI COUNTER won here last time out when staying on well to score by over three lengths and an added 5lb is unlikely to prevent Mark Walford's charge from going in again.
