RED SPELLS DANGER produced a couple of positive efforts as a youngster and has posted another two creditable runs in defeat so far this season. Tim Easterby's charge filled the runner-up spot at Southwell last time and his mark of 79 sets a decent standard, so he's likely to take all the beating if handling this undulating track. Tip Foster and Ndoto can battle it out for second.
Prediction : 1st Red Spells Danger 2nd Tip Foster 3rd Ndoto

Hood Wink forced a dead-heat to claim a first career success at Wetherby but although respected under a penalty, MASABAN gets the nod. The son of Siyouni contested a couple of decent maidens when trained in Ireland and was far from disgraced on his UK/stable debut at Doncaster a fortnight ago. He's a half-brother to two smart horses and stepped up to the mile now handicapping, he can follow suit. Dalamara heads the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Masaban 2nd Hood Wink 3rd Dalamara

Ruth Carr's BETWEENTHESTICKS comes here seeking a hat-trick having kicked off his season with victories at Wolverhampton and Pontefract, and can add to his tally following a 3lb rise. Glory Fighter also made a winning start to his turf season when staying on well to be victorious at Nottingham last month. Mark's Choice ended last season with two victories before an underwhelming return to action at Thirsk, but usually needs his first run and is 3-5 over this C&D. Vince L'Amour can be a tricky horse to predict, but could be worthy of a place if he can put his last run behind him.
Prediction : 1st Betweenthesticks 2nd Glory Fighter 3rd Marks Choice

In an open-looking handicap, MUSICAL TOUCH should be able to advance from his Southwell win with Ethan Tindall taking off a useful 5lb. Tim Easterby saddled the winner of this race last year and comes here with a good pair. C&D winner Modern Times has run well in his two starts this season, while U Sure Do was fourth over 7f on his reappearance at Thirsk last month. Wreck It Ryley was an easy winner at Leicester two starts ago and although disappointing there last time, he may not be far away if bouncing back.
Prediction : 1st Musical Touch 2nd Modern Times 3rd Wreck It Ryley

GLISTENING NIGHTS made a pleasing return to action when third over C&D last month. The five-year-old has never won off a mark this high previously but that effort offered hope that he can, especially because a drop in class is likely to be of benefit. Wolverhampton scorer No Knee Never merits respect under a penalty, while veteran Poet's Dawn can't be underestimated.
Prediction : 1st Glistening Nights 2nd No Knee Never 3rd Poets Dawn

Bradbury would probably have finished a little closer were he not short of room at a crucial stage last time and is sure to be involved if handling the switch to turf, but it might pay to side with LADY VANGUARD. The 320,000gns purchase showed promise on her handicap bow at Yarmouth and may do better over this intermediate trip. She was eased 2lb in the handicap for that latest effort too and with Liam Wright removing a further 5lb, she could be well treated. Riddikulus is also noted.
Prediction : 1st Lady Vanguard 2nd Bradbury 3rd Riddikulus
