FIRST CANDIDATE, who won over 3m in her point-to-point days, showed her versatility when she made all to get off the mark over hurdles at Haydock last month. The progressive six-year-old picks up a 7lb penalty but looks readily capable of taking another step forward. Silvereen wasn't beaten far over C&D on her most recent start and is respected in representing a yard that does well here. Her stable companion Briery Rose and Enya, who tries a first time tongue-tie, are others to note. Prediction : 1st First Candidate 2nd Silvereen 3rd Briery Rose
14:52 Ludlow
SHORTEN SASSY is the pick of this bunch and can get off the mark at the 10th time of asking. A respectable third in a mares' handicap at Southwell most recently, the six-year-old gets the vote in what appears to be a winnable contest on paper. Briery Butterfly was looking held when falling two out in that race. However, she was a well-backed favourite and better was obviously expected. This is no tougher and she could bounce back. Edna E Mode and Churchman complete the shortlist. Prediction : 1st Shorten Sassy 2nd Briery Butterfly 3rd Churchman
15:27 Ludlow
Zacony Rebel was the surprise winner of the Boyne Cup over C&D last month. However, the 11-year-old showed plenty of zest on that occasion and a repeat dose can see him on the premises off just 3lb higher. However, the well-handicapped HALL LANE could have a bigger say on these terms. Set to run off 10lb below his last winning mark over fences, this could be a good time to catch the Fergal O'Brien-trained gelding. Law Of Supply and Nazare are the pick of the rest. Prediction : 1st Hall Lane 2nd Zacony Rebel 3rd Law Of Supply
16:02 Ludlow
All three of Zucayan's career victories have come over C&D and the nine-year-old bounced back to form when filling the runner-up spot over track and trip in December. He is bound to play a leading role, but the one who appeals most is PERGAMON. Jennie Candish's charge sprung a 22/1 surprise when returning to winning ways at Huntingdon last month and could complete a double. Of the remainder, Soleil D'arizona makes the most appeal for the in-form Dan Skelton team.Prediction : 1st Pergamon 2nd Zucayan 3rd Soleil Darizona
16:37 Ludlow
Northern Air made a pleasing start for her new yard when second over 2m1f at Newton Abbot last month and she needs to be taken seriously, but the vote goes to CLAIM DU BRIZAIS. Dan Skelton's mare failed to justify favouritism when only fourth at Warwick on her most recent start. However, she was dropped 1lb for that effort and might be worth another chance. Regal Renaissance looks best of the rest.Prediction : 1st Claim Du Brizais 2nd Northern Air 3rd Regal Renaissance
17:10 Ludlow
MIDNIGHT VIEW had Snapius behind in fourth when getting off the mark by just over two lengths at Warwick and even a 6lb rise might underestimate the level of authority he showed that day. Provided Matt Sheppard's gelding can back that performance up, he will prove hard to beat. Jafimgoso showed little when only seventh at Huntingdon, but his mark continues to drop and the bumper winner has Harry Skelton back on board. Prediction : 1st Midnight View 2nd Jafimgoso 3rd Snapius
