POETIC TWIST showed promise on both bumper starts before switching to hurdles at Cork last month when keeping on well into second in a 2m3f maiden, with Chosen Princess well behind in fourth. The Gordon Elliott-trained mare should appreciate this longer trip. Samba Train won twice in bumpers and now takes a drop in class after finishing fourth behind Amen Kate in a Listed novice hurdle at Thurles just before Christmas. Early Bird was put over hurdles after winning a Tramore bumper and last time beat all bar Tangara Bay at Clonmel. Miss Jocund and Fraher Field are others to consider.Prediction : 1st Poetic Twist 2nd Samba Train 3rd Early Bird

GLENROYAL progressed well on the Flat last year, winning three times including at the Galway Festival, and wound up with a rating of 93. The Australia gelding is a half-brother to smart hurdler Lagostovegas and is sure to be well schooled. Livio won a Grade 3 bumper in France back in 2024 and now makes his hurdles debut for the champion trainer, while point-to-point winner Barnpark is another for the shortlist following his fourth behind Midnight Jet in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle that has worked out well. Hi Ho Idaho has been placed on both hurdle outings, including when runner-up to the odds-on Arcadian Emperor at Clonmel. Splendid Fellow and State Pension are others to consider in a good quality maiden.Prediction : 1st Glenroyal 2nd Livio 3rd Barnpark

COLUMBUS is a smart recruit from the Flat and gets the vote to make a successful transition to hurdles for new connections. The son of Oasis Dream won three times in France and was Group 1-placed on his penultimate start over 1m4f at Cologne. Master Haku had Midnight Jet 13 lengths behind when the pair filled the placings behind Grey Jude at Cork last November and the pair both got off the mark over timber last month, with Midnight Jet showing improved form when scoring over this trip at Fairyhouse. Mr Hollywood is another useful recruit from the Flat in France for the Willie Mullins team.Prediction : 1st Columbus 2nd Midnight Jet 3rd Master Haku

WILLIAM TELL progressed nicely last year, building on a promising Rules debut second to register wins over hurdles at Cork and Thurles. The ground might have gone against him when he was last seen and the forecast conditions can see him in a better light here. Duty Bound won at this venue last summer and may have benefited from his latest run on the Flat at Navan, while Maxios Prime has been consistent and merits respect off a light weight. Therellbguddaysyet also warrants a betting check after returning with a creditable fourth at Cork last month.Prediction : 1st William Tell 2nd Duty Bound 3rd Maxios Prime

GENTLEMAN DE MEE often shows his best form in the spring and gave plenty of encouragement last time when fourth behind Will The Wise in the Topham at Aintree. He won that competitive handicap over the Grand National fences last year off a slightly lower mark and still retains plenty of ability. Riding arrangements suggest Sa Fureur is preferred of Gordon Elliott's three runners and the Walk In The Park gelding, who was let down by his jumping last time at Fairyhouse, would rate a threat if reproducing his second to Impaire Et Passe at Gowran back in February. Jesse Evans should benefit from a recent outing at Punchestown and looks best of the remainder.Prediction : 1st Gentleman De Mee 2nd Sa Fureur 3rd Jesse Evans

IAMAGETAWAY was sent off a well-backed favourite at Kilbeggan on stable debut for Gordon Elliott. In front before two out, Jack Kennedy's mount was collared in the closing stages on what was his first start for over six months and he can gain a first win over fences with that run under his belt. Rusheen ran well over a longer trip when third at Clonmel, but he has to shoulder top weight and may prefer softer ground. Butty O'Brien made most of the running when recording her first win over fences at Wexford. That was a much-improved performance in first-time cheekpieces and she could prove the main danger, despite a 7lb hike.Prediction : 1st Iamagetaway 2nd Butty O Brien 3rd Rusheen

Lifetime Ambition ran a blinder when fourth in the Champion Hunters Chase at the Punchestown Festival and that makes him the one to beat. Saying that, he was turned over at odds-on in this race last year and is taken on with SOLITARY MAN. Enda Bolger's eight-year-old has won four times at this venue and will appreciate stepping back up in trip after finishing fourth to Journey With Me over 2m4f at Cork. The latter was a Grade 2 winner over that trip when trained by Henry de Bromhead, but his stamina will be stretched over this distance. Prediction : 1st Solitary Man 2nd Lifetime Ambition 3rd Journey With Me

AIRDS MOSS cost 58,000 euros as a store and after showing promise in two point-to-points, made a very encouraging debut under rules in a 2m3f bumper at Cork. He finished clear of the third when chasing home a promising type, who went on to run respectably in a Grade 1 at Punchestown. Pack Ball, by No Risk At All out of a 1m2f winner in France, represents a yard well capable of winning bumpers first time out, while Ballyvada is a half-brother to two winners, one of which was successful in this discipline. Placed in three point-to-points, Boombox is a sister to smart jumper McLaurey and is another to consider. Prediction : 1st Airds Moss 2nd Pack Ball 3rd Ballyvada
