East Hampton (0.5pt ew)

Best price 12/1 at the time of publishing.

Expanded bounced back to form last time when runner-up behind stablemate The Lion In Winter on his return but it has been 18 months since his last victory and preference instead goes to EAST HAMPTON (best priced at 12/1) who won over this course and distance last season. The David Marnane trained four-year-old outran odds of 25/1 to finish a neck 2nd in the Group 2 Minstrel Stakes last season and was only beaten 1 ½ lengths on his reappearance in the listed Gladness Stakes at the Curragh last time.

A rating of 109 puts East Hampton level with the favourite and with only 2lbs to find with Native Warrior and he looks overpriced back at a track that he is unbeaten at.

Jordan Electrics (1pt)

Best price 4/1 at the time of publishing.

Despite his advancing years, JORDAN ELECTRICS (best priced at 4/1) has outrun huge odds on his previous two starts and can now capitalise in a race dropped in class. The Jim Goldie trained ten-year-old finished 2nd behind subsequent Group 3 winner Royal Velvet at Newmarket in a 0-95 handicap in April before finishing 6th in the Class 2 Victoria Cup at Ascot last time off a mark of 91.

The handicapper has been generous dropping Jordan Electrics 1lb for that 3 ¾ length defeat and as a result he now drops down in grade to this Class 3 0-90 handicap. His last victory was in August 2024 but that was off a mark of 96 over this course and distance and he can hopefully record his tenth victory at Hamilton in his career.
