ALASKAN BEAR ran with plenty of promise on his debut at Naas earlier in the month and looks a likely candidate for top honours. On that occasion he was the gamest of runners-up to Ballydoyle's long odds-on favourite Confucius, finishing nicely clear of the third horse, and any improvement would make him hard to beat. Bit Of A Buzz was another to make a pleasing start when third at Naas late last month and he too is likely to go well again. Mr Montauk might need to improve on what he has shown so far to figure and perhaps first-timers Away And Gone and Shafters Legacy will prove more of a threat. Prediction : 1st Alaskan Bear 2nd Bit Of A Buzz 3rd Away And Gone

BAD BOY RIZZ is a hugely consistent sort and is taken to gain a second career success. He rounded off last season with a win on soft ground at Navan in October and shaped up well on his return at Naas when runner-up to this evening's rival Amiata, having not enjoyed the clearest of runs on the near-side rail. On 6lb better terms, he can turn the tables on Amiata to score. Allsortz was a close-up third in the same contest at Naas and is not easily discounted, while Treasured Royal was a little further back that time but showed far more when third in a stronger race over the same course and distance subsequently, giving her every chance now. Prediction : 1st Bad Boy Rizz 2nd Treasured Royal 3rd Amiata

Since winning at Dundalk back in October, JORDAN BREEZE has finished runner-up in three of his four starts and he's deserving of another success. The four-year-old didn't get the clearest of runs early inside the final furlong when filling second spot at Bellewstown last month, but he did manage to finish just in front of both Art Of Unity and Steel Magnolia. There won't be much between the trio again and also in the mix are An Laochmor, twice a winner on the all-weather in recent months, and Kilmood Susan, a winner over C&D in June of last year.Prediction : 1st Jordan Breeze 2nd Steel Magnolia 3rd Kilmood Susan

STAR GLORY caught the eye when rattling home on her Curragh debut and should now play a leading role. She came from the rear of the field with a furlong to run to finish a never-nearer sixth behind the gambled-on winner Immortal Guard and the experience will certainly stand to her now. Hanney Boy also shaped up well when second to the well-fancied Edward Thatch over 5f here and the extra distance is sure to suit. Among the newcomers to note are Switching Sides and Cromane.Prediction : 1st Star Glory 2nd Hanney Boy 3rd Cromane

AL HAARITH should prove hard to beat here on his return. The Lope De Vega colt has a mark of 107 after three runs as a juvenile. The most recent of those came in Group 2 company at the Curragh last September, when he finished a fine third to Hawk Mountain in the Beresford Stakes. The Piper's Call had two nice runs last season and looks unfortunate to bump into a rival of this quality in a weekday maiden. Money for the Dermot Weld-trained newcomer Shesharna would be noteworthy. The Palace Pier filly is a half-sister to four winners, including Listed winner Shelir.Prediction : 1st Al Haarith 2nd The Pipers Call 3rd Shesharna

GLENEAGLE BAY takes a slight drop in class and may be able to concede weight to these rivals. The Gleneagles gelding was fourth in a competitive contest over course and distance early this month and has been eased 2lb since. His sole win came on the all-weather so a nicer surface may suit now. L L Koulsty is 3lb out of the handicap but could play a big part. He ran a solid race when fourth here last time and dropping back to 7f may suit now. Smoke Them Out wasn't beaten far at the Curragh last time and is a previous course winner. He's another for the shortlist.Prediction : 1st Gleneagle Bay 2nd L L Koulsty 3rd Smoke Them Out

Older fillies have won the last couple of runnings of this despite giving a chunk of weight to their younger rivals and CARMEL'S PHOENIX may prove the answer this time. The Mark Fahey-trained filly ran with credit in stakes company on her return here last month and should be up to scoring back in a maiden now. Benaki shaped with promise when chasing home Chablis Rock at Limerick on her debut last month and is expected to be in the mix. Sangreal was no match for the impressive Eretria at Leopardstown but is also entitled to step forward and is another to consider.Prediction : 1st Carmels Phoenix 2nd Benaki 3rd Sangreal
20:12 Cork
SHE'S IDEAL ran a cracker at Sligo on her last outing and may be able to strike now. The Belardo filly lost out by a neck after a good duel with Metamorpheus in the closing stages. Any rain in the forecast should suit her. Khormor Syd has been runner-up on his last two outings and is an obvious danger. He is only 1lb better off with stablemate Starting Monday having chased him home at Gowran last month but may have a bit more upsides than his older rival. Previous course and distance winner Barretstown is another to note on his return to turf.Prediction : 1st Shes Ideal 2nd Khormor Syd 3rd Starting Monday
