LAW OF AVERAGE was well found in the market when regaining the winning thread at Bath last month and this could prove a suitable opportunity for him to follow up. A 4lb higher mark looks workable for the five-year-old and he may confirm his superiority over reopposing second Binadham. The son of Kodiac is 2lb better off with the selection and isn't taken lightly given how well he finished. Tiva is the pick of the remainder.

Porth Eilian has a nice pedigree and can make progress now she steps up in trip, while Saxophonist has more proven stamina at this stage and can be expected to be sharper after his reappearance at Doncaster. Nevertheless, slender preference is for LIGHT DREAMER, who faces her easiest assignment so far. Out of her depth in a class 2 event at Ascot, much better can be expected at this level.

Eve's Boy and Starliner are better than they managed last time out and are others to bear in mind.
