The Jim Goldie trained CLASSY AL (best priced at 8/1) was inconvenienced by a lack of pace last time at Ayr and he can hopefully get back to winning ways returned to Hamilton. The eight-year-old is a two-time course and distance winner in the past including in July off a mark of 71.
With confirmed front runner Law Of Average in the field, he should give Classy Al the opportunity to race properly during the early stages of the race and should bounce back off a lowly mark of 65.

The George Boughey trained ERUDITION has run to a similar high level on his two starts this season and should be able to get off the mark at the third attempt in this weaker contest. The Mehmas gelding finished 3rd in a strong Leicester novice race behind the unbeaten I’ll Be Back and when splitting subsequent winners King’s Cavalry and Beagle Bay.
Erudition was slowly away last time but got to within a neck of the 93 rated Extremely Zain last time at Newbury and a repeat of either of those runs should be good enough to win this.
