Out of an Irish Oaks winner and a half-sister to seven winners, PIERIAN is bred to be useful. The Haggas filly built on last month's promising debut effort at Wetherby with a cosy success over 1m2f at Salisbury. This extra yardage promises to bring further improvement and she should have no problem disposing of her sole rival Spirit Dreamer, who has shown little so far.
Prediction : 1st Pierian 2nd Spirit Dreamer 3rd null

Zubaru holds solid claims bidding for a hat-trick, having scored a shade cosily at Leicester last time. Sea Suite looks likely to make his presence felt once again back on the turf, but it could be the turn of STENMARK. Fifth at Wolverhampton when last in action, he looked destined for a place before being hampered in the final furlong, and is taken to build on that promising effort for his new trainer.
Prediction : 1st Stenmark 2nd Zubaru 3rd Sea Suite

Charlie Appleby has trained three of the last six winners and AL HUDAIBA has strong claims of adding to that tally. The son of Dark Angel quickened nicely once in the clear to score at Newmarket on debut, and the Godolphin colt is taken to defy a penalty on that evidence. Shiyam is a half-brother to three winners including the useful Luther. He should be monitored in the market, along with fellow newcomer Eagle Island.
Prediction : 1st Al Hudaiba 2nd Shiyam 3rd Eagle Island

Hengest is looking for his hat-trick after wins at Windsor and Lingfield where he has stayed on to get on top close home, but a 5lb penalty and no guaranteed pace makes his life that much harder. Both seven-time winner Harlington and KING'S HAND can miss the start with the selection getting up after giving away lengths at Lingfield, and although he is only due to go up 4lb for future races and suffers a 5lb penalty here, if he can get away on level terms he could double up.
Prediction : 1st Kings Hand 2nd Hengest 3rd Harlington

Philip McBride won this in 2024 and will hope for a big run from Izzy Fast, who won a C&D maiden in April before finishing a distant ninth at Newmarket. She pulled too hard that day and may do a lot better when she learns to settle, but that isn't guaranteed and FANTASY MASTER is preferred. Third at Ascot off this mark and beaten just over a length on that first start since December, nominal improvement may be all he needs. Travel Agent and Twilight Fun are others to consider.
Prediction : 1st Fantasy Master 2nd Izzy Fast 3rd Travel Agent

SIAM FOX is not the force of old with a sixth here earlier in the month, but at least he has won on the going and over C&D, all of them off far higher marks and in better company than he suffers here. Merapi is the in-form option after finishing second on her last three runs. However, she remains a maiden after 14 starts and may have to settle for another place, leaving Charlatan for third with Tom Marquand riding for David Simcock.
Prediction : 1st Siam Fox 2nd Merapi 3rd Charlatan
