Steve Ryder shares three standout betting tips for Sunday's racing cards at Nottingham and Thirsk.
3:55 Nottingham
TIP 1: Ruby’s Profit - 1pt
Best odds of 7/2 at William Hill while publishing.
RUBY’S PROFIT (best priced at 7/2) has failed to win for over a year now which means she has now dropped down the ratings and can now contest this 0-85 Class 4 Handicap for the fillies. She won at Goodwood in May last year off this mark of 87 prior to finishing 3rd in the 3yo Dash at Epsom off a mark of 94 and at Goodwood off a mark of 92.
Ruby’s Profit was only beaten a length when 4th at Bath on her penultimate start at Bath before getting hampered at Chester last time when finishing 6th. This is the easiest race she has contested in over a year and she should prove hard to beat.

TIP 2; Sharp Romance - 1pt
Best odds of 2/1 at bet365 while publishing.
The Phil McBride trained SHARP ROMANCE (best priced at 9/4) has run well on all three of her career starts and the form of her latest 2nd placed finish was boosted yesterday. The three-year-old defied odds of 10/1 to win a Kempton maiden on her second start before finishing 2nd beaten only a short head at Newmarket on her handicap debut off a mark of 72.
The handicapper has raised Sharp Romance 2lbs for that effort but the winner Folk Pageant followed up at Chester yesterday off a 3lb higher mark so she could prove leniently treated based off that performance as the pair pulled 2 ¼ lengths clear of the third. Saffie Osbourne takes over on board and she looks the most likely winner.
5:15 Thirsk
TIP 3: Letsbefrank - 1pt
Best odds of 3/1 at PricedUp while publishing.
LETSBEFRANK (best priced at 3/1) failed to win all of last season but made it 2/2 in 2026 winning two Sunday series races already. The Jim Goldie trained six-year-old won in August 2024 off a mark of 76 so he had dropped to an attractive mark of 69 when winning at Musselburgh before following up at Hamilton last time off a mark of 73.
Letsbefrank is now off a career high mark of 78 but is clearly thriving and can hopefully complete a hat-trick of wins under Lauren Young.
