DARK WHISPER just edges it ahead of Lucky Camino and Leonardo Blu. They all boast similar profiles having finished second on their introductions, but the first-named contested what looked a really deep maiden at Newmarket (Wood Ditton) and the winner has since followed up in good style at York. Lucky Camino was runner-up here and that experience will stand him in good stead, while Leonardo Blu performed well for the silver medal at Doncaster and is also taken seriously.

Ruby's Profit sits on a winning mark and is ground-versatile, as is Wateen, who was highly tried in France last year and should be a key player at this level. The daughter of Starman, already a C&D winner, could progress to be well above average.

However, TUPERO's Redcar win carries a bit more substance and his proven capacity at this level earns him the vote.

She left a lasting impression when readily scoring here last month and everything points to another bold showing. Stardancer is an interesting contender in the finale returning from an absence sporting a first-time tongue-tie. The betting market should tell us more about his chances, but the safe play is THE SWEET ESCAPE as he won over C&D last month and has held his form well in three subsequent starts. It's also worth considering track-and-trip winner Great Blasket and Penelope Valentine.
