SHANNON BANK showed promise when runner-up at Killarney last October and was reappearing after a winter break when finishing in mid-division on her first outing for Andrew Kinirons. She should benefit from that outing and gets the vote over Mo Ghille Mar, who returned to form when scoring at Wexford. Western Princess is one of the lesser lights at Closutton but now switches to handicaps along with Cool Summer and Cinnabar Moth.

PUTAPOUNDINTHEJAR added to two hurdles wins last year when successful on the Flat at Bellewstown this spring and subsequently finished a creditable fifth in a valuable handicap hurdle at the Punchestown Festival. Eoin McCarthy has two strong contenders with Wholelotofbusiness and Fast Felix, who are closely matched on their at Killarney encounter last time. Bossing It indicated a return to form at Wexford last time, while Becasse hails from a yard in good form.

WHISPERING WILLOW looks more progressive than her rivals and can take this contest. The selection made a successful start for Gavin Cromwell when taking a Punchestown handicap hurdle in decisive fashion before going close on her chasing debut at Downpatrick. Tropical Image won over hurdles here last September and was not disgraced on her chasing bow when reappearing at Killarney. Walk Away Harry landed a bumper at the Punchestown Festival in 2023 and while without a win since, did hold a career high rating of 113 over hurdles.

JESSE EVANS has been second in both a Galway Hurdle and Galway Plate and is probably building towards the big summer festival again. The selection has proved a great servant to connections with ten career wins and is well treated here at the weights. Blood Destiny has more on his plate than when easily justifying odds of 1/8 in this race 12 months ago and has to give weight all round after winning a Grade 3 at Naas in February. Eagle Fang probably has more scope for improvement than his rivals and reverts back to fences after two solid efforts in competitive staying handicap hurdles.

SOLITARY MAN can confirm Killarney form with What Path. Enda Bolger's charge asserted in the closing stages when beating that rival by a length and a half and was nicely on top late on. What Path had every chance jumping the second last that day and is entitled to be bang there again. Asphalt Cowboy was a good winner at Downpatrick 10 days ago and is another who could come into the mix now. Ambitious Fellow, fifth in the Champion Hunters at Punchestown, is also respected.

CAMAN HILL looked smart when winning on his debut at Ballinrobe a year ago. The form of that impressive victory has worked out well and he may be worth siding with despite the absence. Thelittleballerina was an easy winner at Clonmel in April and she looks like an obvious danger. Minnatrix was well beaten when falling over timber on his return at Killarney three weeks ago, but had been runner-up in a Roscommon bumper on debut last year and could reach the frame.
