LOUIS VERON has filled second place on both previous outings and it would be no surprise to see Dan Skelton's gelding go one better on this occasion. Dunstall Star fell on his hurdling debut a month ago but it is far too soon to be writing him off, while Lyric is surely better than what he displayed at Musselburgh in March.
Prediction : 1st Louis Veron 2nd Dunstall Star 3rd Lyric

It is hard to oppose TYSON, who bolted up for the second time in three starts at Huntingdon nine days ago. A 7lb penalty for that success is unlikely to stop the six-year-old given how weak this contest appears to be. Baltray was third at Newton Abbot last time and is likely to be in the mix for the places once again, while similar comments apply to Spitalfield.
Prediction : 1st Tyson 2nd Baltray 3rd Spitalfield

Dream's Ka merits plenty of respect following his Bangor success last month, but a 12lb higher mark has to be a concern. As a result, preference is for MODERN STYLE, whose winning run came to an end at Uttoxeter last time but he was not disgraced when a close second on that occasion. Midnight View did not appear to stay when upped to 2m5f on his most recent start and should find this trip more suitable.
Prediction : 1st Modern Style 2nd Dreams Ka 3rd Midnight View

THICKTHORN TOM didn't beat much at Newton Abbot last week but he was in a determined mood and will take some overhauling if he is in the same frame of mind. Obviously, a 7lb penalty complicates matters and the consistent Carpe Diem could be a big danger on these terms. Misteroddsocks gets weight from the rest and is another to keep an eye on with the step up in trip a potential source for improvement.
Prediction : 1st Thickthorn Tom 2nd Carpe Diem 3rd Misteroddsocks

With the stable firing on all cylinders at present, this could prove a good opportunity for BEST NIGHT to regain the winning thread. Although the five-year-old has proved somewhat underwhelming on her last two outings, she is effectively 5lb lower than her Huntingdon triumph in March if taking Rian Corcoran's claim into account. Siorai should find this easier than when sixth on her handicap bow at Sandown in April and is feared most, ahead of Quick Of The Night.
Prediction : 1st Best Night 2nd Siorai 3rd Quick Of The Night

Having returned to form with a good second over C&D last month, THEONLYWAYISWESSEX could be poised to strike. The eight-year-old is entitled to improve for that seasonal debut and he makes plenty of appeal racing off an unaltered mark. Royal Deeside has posted a string of creditable efforts in defeat of late and he should give his running once more, while Zestful Hope competes off a workable rating.
Prediction : 1st Theonlywayiswessex 2nd Royal Deeside 3rd Zestful Hope
