Meennaa is open to improvement, while market support for newcomer Little Lady Karen would be interesting.

Having supplemented a close-up second at Wolverhampton with a victory over 7f at Southwell 58 days ago, Pickersgill merits respect in her follow-up bid. That said, a 5lb rise in the ratings and drop back in distance is a slight concern and KELPIE GREY is preferred. Jim Goldie has his string in fine fettle and his inmate looked like he would appreciate a return to 6f when weakening late on over further at Ayr. Thunderstorm Katie is the pick of the remainder.

ZOWAL enjoyed a drop in class when digging deep to score at Pontefract in April and a 2lb rise looks workable. The son of Zarak is a potential improver going back up to 1m1f and he ticks plenty of the right boxes. Qitaal arrives on the back of a solid second at Leicester and he's feared most, ahead of Obito, who is entitled to build on last month's eighth-placed reappearance over C&D.

ETERNAL FORCE was hugely progressive towards the end of last season and was by no means disgraced in seventh, beaten just two and a half lengths, on his return in the Lincoln at Doncaster. Entitled to have come forward for that outing and with William Haggas' horses in such good form, the four-year-old makes plenty of appeal. Theoryofeverything and the unexposed Altareq are others to bear in mind.

There are a couple of last-start winners to consider in here as Harb did it well at Carlisle and Hi Lord was really determined over C&D. Both make plenty of appeal, but it might be worth chancing CALL TO ACTION, who performed better than his finishing position suggests at Thirsk and was in winning/placed form before that at Ripon and Pontefract.

Jim Goldie has a strong hand in this with GALLUS NORMAN marginally preferred. He has returned to action in fine form and, having easily won an amateur riders' race at Musselburgh a fortnight ago, he's taken to go in again with Lauren Young's allowance negating most of his 6lb rise. Annandale went close at Wolverhampton last time and he's not out of this, while recent hurdles winner Perseus Way also has a shout.

Sugarpiehoneybunch won the corresponding race last year on her seasonal debut and has a recent outing under her belt this time. She has to be of interest, but RECOBELLA gets the nod. She has been bang there at the finish on her last couple of starts on the turf and the recent Doncaster runner-up is taken to go one better raised only 1lb. Uncle Liam makes more appeal than Hijo De La Luna of the rest.
