SOME NIGHTMARE hit the frame on a number of occasions on the all-weather over the winter, although he's been much more effective on the turf previously. John O'Shea's gelding finished a creditable third at Bath latest but, back at the scene of six of his nine career wins, he is expected to pull out a bit more. So Smart has twice run with credit over C&D this term and must enter calculations along with Hidden Verse, who might have finished a bit closer at Bath recently had he gotten a clear run.
Prediction : 1st Some Nightmare 2nd So Smart 3rd Hidden Verse

Miss Moneypit (fourth) had RESEMBLANCE (11th) well in arrears at Ascot, but the latter didn't have the benefit of previous experience that day and has since gone on to finish a creditable second at Haydock. There are a host of interesting newcomers lining up, including Secret Rival and Clueisinthetitle, but if Michael Bell's filly can take another step forward she might take all the beating.
Prediction : 1st Resemblance 2nd Miss Moneypit 3rd Secret Rival

Poetry Of Time deservedly opened his account in a Salisbury novice last month and is likely to prove popular now handicapping, but a chance can be taken on LYRA LEA. Rod Millman's charge didn't quite see out the extended mile at Wolverhampton on her reappearance but dropping in trip could help to make the difference. Mighty Vega had been knocking on the door prior to his recent C&D triumph so must be taken very seriously from 3lb higher.
Prediction : 1st Lyra Lea 2nd Poetry Of Time 3rd Mighty Vega

CONNIE'S ROSE seems to save her best for this track with seven of her 10 career victories here, the latest last September off the same mark over a furlong shorter. She has also won over this trip albeit at a lower level, and won't mind the cut in the ground unlike some. This Farh arrives in winning form after scoring at Beverley last month but an added 3lb and a rise in class may stop him here, leaving C&D winners Dapper Gee Gee and Brave Byreflection to do battle for third.
Prediction : 1st Connies Rose 2nd This Farh 3rd Dapper Gee Gee

Fifty Sent won two similar races on the all-weather at Southwell in March and although beaten twice since, he is slipping back down the handicap and should go well. EYE OF THE WATER has to carry 2lb more than his allotted weight but he gets the cut in the ground that he seems to need to give his best and he could surprise. Handicap newcomer Praise Indeed and course winner Judge Frank as others to consider.
Prediction : 1st Eye Of The Water 2nd Fifty Sent 3rd Praise Indeed

Nutcracker finished third on his last two starts and was beaten less that a length in March, but he has been upped 3lb and will need a step forward to win for the first time. Charencey weakened late on when fifth at Nottingham but that was his first race in six months and appears a challenger, though KING OF THE DANCE gets the nod. The only course winner in the field and a respectable fourth off 2lb higher in May, he looks all set for another bold effort in this company.
Prediction : 1st King of The Dance 2nd Nutcracker 3rd Charencey

AUTUMN ANGEL looked to be on good terms with herself when switching to turf and scoring over C&D last month. With ground conditions likely to suit again, Tony Carroll's charge can double up here at the main expense of Too Much Trevor, who has been knocking on the door here of late. Snuggle is another expected to be bang there at the business end.
Prediction : 1st Autumn Angel 2nd Too Much Trevor 3rd Snuggle

BIG WIN can send his supporters home smiling in the finale. James Owen's charge made a really encouraging return at Bath recently when runner-up and there is every chance he'll build on that career-best effort. Cloudside Rock won't go down without a fight after restoring some confidence courtesy of a Southwell success in April, while Electric Bass also commands attention.
Prediction : 1st Big Win 2nd Cloudside Rock 3rd Electric Bass
