Undercover Affair (second) had Fortunate (fourth) in arrears at Chester last time and although there appears to be no obvious reason as to why that form could be reversed, LEUCOTHEA might still be too strong for the pair. The daughter of Soldier's Call appeared to bump into one on her debut before running to a similar level at Wolverhampton, and wouldn't need much more to break her maiden tag.

Sacred Ground has filled the runner-up spot twice at this level already and can be expected to go close, but her stable companion LIGHT OF PARIS might be the value. The daughter of Sea The Stars defeated a subsequent winner on her second start at Ascot and it is extremely interesting that they choose to pitch her into Pattern company on the back of it. Rose Ghaiyyath was outclassed in the Guineas, but this will be more to her liking.

Arc Zoosve successfully completed the four-timer at Lingfield last month and is hard to ignore in his current mood. However, the concern would be this represents a much tougher test and, with that in mind, it may pay to side with ALFRED BOUCHER. Owen Burrows' charge rolled back the years when returning to winning ways for the first time since 2022 at Salisbury and is just 4lb higher. Provided the 10-year-old backs that performance up, he will prove hard to beat. Hermetic completes the shortlist.

William Haggas' charge holds an obvious chance, but ARABIAN CROWN has the much younger legs. The son of Dubawi signed off his four-year-old campaign with victory in a Listed event at Windsor and may have more to offer this season. Tenability returned with a respectable third in the John Porter at Newbury and is far from out of it either.

Cherry Cobbler struck by over three lengths in a class 5 event at Newmarket on his most recent start and is respected, but the vote goes to DIAMONDONTHEHILL. The eight-year-old only found one too good in a stronger contest at Musselburgh, finishing just under five lengths clear of the third in the process. With a similar performance, he could be the one to beat. Dr Strangelove is another to note.
