FOLSOM BLUES was a promising third on his introduction at the Curragh last month. The Joseph O'Brien-trained colt stayed on late to reach the frame and, sure to be wiser for that initial experience, he looks the one to be with. As a half-brother to a Group 2 winning juvenile, newcomer Anthony Of Lisbon is bred for the job, while market support for the Aidan O'Brien-trained son of Blackbeard should also be note. Golden Arizona, who shaped as though he would improve for the run when very green on his Curragh debut, is another potential improver.
Prediction : 1st Folsom Blues 2nd Anthony Of Lisbon 3rd Golden Arizona

A full-sister to a multiple winner, POCKET JACKS can register a first career success. Having shown promise in three maidens, the Andy Oliver-trained filly stepped up considerably when third on her handicap debut at the Curragh earlier this month. Keeping on late to fill the frame behind too unexposed rivals, the daughter of Starspangledbanner hinted that her turn was near and stepping back up in trip here can see her breakthrough. Handicap debutant Sancerre Rock colt can get competitive on these terms, while Cantilever is another capable of improvement having been gelded ahead of his handicap bow.
Prediction : 1st Pocket Jacks 2nd Sancerre Rock 3rd Cantilever

RION RUBETTE had four of these behind when she scored over C&D most recently. After a troubled run, the daughter of New Bay recovered well, quickening up smartly to lead close home. Granted a clearer passage, the four-year-old can register back-to-back successes. Greydreambeliever, who finished runner-up in that aforementioned contest, rates the main danger. Far from disgraced in Listed company at Naas last time, the Joseph O'Brien-trained filly ought to find this easier. Luna Mia should be competitive if coming on from her recent seasonal reappearance.
Prediction : 1st Rion Rubette 2nd Greydreambeliever 3rd Luna Mia

Runner-up over course and distance last time, CHIPSRDOWN can go one better. Well fancied when disappointing at Killarney on her previous start, the Andrew Slattery-trained filly stepped up considerably on that effort when finding just one too strong on her most recent visit here. The form of that race received a nice boost when the fourth placed horse went on to win at Fairyhouse subsequently. A stablemate of the selection, Queen Aethelfaed also took minors honours over course and distance earlier this month behind Real Petite. A prominent racer, who is well drawn close to the rail, the four-year-old shouldn't be far away and may reverse the form with Tom Mullins' filly.
Prediction : 1st Chipsrdown 2nd Queen Aethelflaed 3rd Rock Etoile

The Stephen Thorne-trained SON OF BEAUTY can defy topweight to secure a second career success. Mid-division in a well contested renewal of the Madrid Handicap on his turf debut, the gelding has run similarly solid races in two subsequent handicap starts. With this looking an easier assignment, it will be somewhat disappointing if he can't add to his sole previous win on at Dundalk on the all-weather. Arctic Assassin failed to beat a single rival at Cork last month but would hold every chance on the form of his previous win at the Curragh. First-time blinkers could see the son of Australia put his best foot forward. Fallacy is another with claims in a tight knit affair.
Prediction : 1st Son Of Beauty 2nd Arctic Assassin 3rd Fallacy

A staying on third over a mile here last month, BOFA BEACH can open her account. Shaping as though this longer trip would be very much in her favour, the Jessica Harrington-trained filly chased home two above average rivals in a competitive maiden. Well drawn for one that is likely to hold a prominent box seat position, it would be no great surprise to see her stalk the leaders before taking over early in the straight. Sangreal, who ran a big race when third over 1m4f at Cork last time, has to be a contender if coping with the drop in trip. Miss Romagna is also worthy of consideration following a decent effort at Cork on her most recent run.
Prediction : 1st Bofa Beach 2nd Sangreal 3rd Miss Romagna

TRUSTYOURINSTINCT can win this contest for the third time. Successful in both the 2023 and, 2024 renewals, the Joseph O'Brien-trained gelding is back for a third bite at the cherry and should prove very difficult to beat. With 9lb to find on official ratings, Tiberius Thunder is next best at the weights. Last of seven in the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh recently, the Robson Aguiar-trained four-year-old will appreciate this drop in class. Iron Fist looks best of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Trustyourinstinct 2nd Tiberius Thunder 3rd Iron Fist

With champion jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle aboard for the first time, FARO ISLAND can step forward from a promising reappearance effort at Navan. Fourth on that occasion, the Andy Oliver-trained gelding travelled strongly into the race before weakening late on. The combination of a drop in trip and easier track might be enough to see him get on the scoresheet. Elusive Duke should also do better having shaped with promise on his return when keeping on to finish seventh at Leopardstown earlier this month. Lauderdale King, who was the subject of a gamble when third at Cork recently, is another that holds strong claims.
Prediction : 1st Faro Island 2nd Elusive Duke 3rd Lauderdale King
