He won over C&D in May and makes more appeal than the hat-trick seeking Oh So Perfect and Based, who is closely matched with the selection but needs to leave behind a mediocre Newcastle performance.

She finished a neck second on the all-weather at Southwell last year and has shown some improvement for going up to 1m the last twice. This could be the time to catch her and stretching out another furlong in trip looks ideal. Of the others, keep an eye on Blue Celestial and Esdaile.

Landlordtothestars is a previous course scorer who might show a bit more for sporting first-time blinkers, but the vote goes to MASSIMO BLUE. He struggled to land a telling blow on turf at Newbury but was back to something like his best when returning to all-weather duty at Kempton and, if building on that close-up third, he could quite easily win a race like this. Master Dandy is another to take seriously.
