Although his hurdle debut was slightly underwhelming, it wasn't a bad race for the grade, and he was clearly learning throughout. Chasing Blues is arguably the most interesting contender after finishing fourth on his stable bow at this venue. Recently acquired by Watchman Racing, the 100,000-euro store was sent off joint-favourite on his opening bid in a hot Navan bumper and may prove worth watching.

ARE YOU AROUND hasn't been seen since finishing a creditable second at Sligo in October, but this won't take much winning and natural improvement might be enough to see Willie Mullins' mare go one place better. Lilannbee was a little out of her depth in a couple of Pattern-class bumpers since the turn of the year but she's an interesting candidate now sent over timber. Red Sea Girl warrants close inspection and so does Burning Like Fire, who hit the frame in a point-to-point back in March.

Sean Mc hasn't quite been able to match the form of April's C&D win in two starts since, but Paul Nolan's gelding has less to prove than most and could find more for the addition of first-time cheekpieces. Even so, preference is for EMPIRE WALK. A beaten favourite at over 2m6f at Ballinrobe last month, he still showed up well for a long way and might do better now dropped in trip, especially because the booking of Jody Townend looks notable. Coolboy Christy is another to consider.

SET THE TONE was no match for an improving rival at Limerick three weeks ago and although her profile suggests she's far from certain to back up that performance, the daughter of Vocalised might be able to find that bit more over 3m. Lady Victrix was well held in all four of her appearances in maiden hurdles, but she enters handicaps from a lowly mark as a result and Darragh O'Keefe replaces a 7lb claimer. Spare a though for Jury Foreman, too, who kept on without ever threatening over 2m4f here latest.

Although dismissed in the market, Clever Court opened his account at the ninth time of asking over an extended 2m4f at Bellewstown. While a 6lb higher mark doesn't appear excessive, the 3m distance is a concern for the son of Court Cave, which may leave the door open for FIRE CORAL. The seven-year-old arrives on the back of a solid third at Limerick and she makes grand appeal returning to her last winning trip. Phildante was beginning to weaken behind the selection that day, but the introduction of Joshua Halford's 7lb claim means she cannot be dismissed.

The introduction of blinkers worked the oracle for course winner BACKINABIT and there is every chance that he can follow up. This slight ease in distance should only help given how well the seven-year-old travelled and he's fancied to repel reopposing third Hatfield Hammer. Paul Nolan's gelding enjoys a 6lb swing with the selection and he isn't taken lightly, while last month's Clonmel runner-up Sidiriya may fare best of the remainder.

Del Boys Diva emerged as a surprise, yet ready winner with a first-time tongue-tie applied at Roscommon 17 days ago. Assuming the application remains effective, another bold showing is likely. However a 9lb rise might scupper the follow-up bid and a chance is taken on LET IT SETTLE being able to build on her recent Cork second. That was the five-year-old's best effort over hurdles so far and she looks a key player in this similar company. Avandra and Victoria Kesia are others with feasible claims.

There are no prizes for suggesting a Willie Mullins-trained contender can win a bumper but COTSWOLD BLUE is hard to ignore after filling the runner-up berth on her two previous starts. That experience can be put to good use here. The Ocean Queen, who swapped hands for 58,000 pounds after she won a Curraghmore point-to-point in April, is an appealing Rules debutant to also seriously consider, while Ants Fantasy and Distraction are others to monitor in the betting.
