Perfidia tackles 10 furlongs for the first time having been edged out in the closing stages at Musselburgh and Nottingham. His dam won at the trip, which offers hope that he will have no issues, but it looks best to side with course specialist and stable companion SUNNY ORANGE. Four of his five career wins have come at the Westwood venue and after keeping on well into second over C&D, he could add another to his CV. Star Start heads the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Sunny Orange 2nd Perfidia 3rd Star Start

Most of these arrive with something to prove so it might be worth taking a chance on PORTER'S SONG. His best effort to date came on his final start for Ed Bethell at Leicester, but he took a backward step on his stable debut at Pontefract. However, he steps up a couple of furlongs in trip and may still be capable of a bit better having made just five career appearances. Talking In Kode shares a similar profile and is one of the likelier dangers, while La Trinite appeals most of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Porters Song 2nd Talking In Kode 3rd La Trinite

MAXIMUS MERIDIUS hasn't been far away in either start so far, but the son of Persian Force has seemingly failed to see out 6f on both occasions and might prove better suited by the minimum trip. Lexington Boom filled the runner-up spot at Musselburgh and is sure to give it another good go, as might Dorothea Hope, who shaped with real promise over C&D on her debut.

Romanza emerged from the Chesham with credit in seventh and then hit the crossbar at Lingfield. He was only a position and just over a length in front of APULIA BAY, though, and considering that was the Crisfords' youngster's first taste of competitive action, he can improve past his rival. Vega King shaped with promise behind three experienced opponents at Ayr and should step forward. Giant Dan Burn is the newcomer this time, but he cost 140,000 euros as a yearling so must not be dismissed lightly.
Prediction : 1st Apulia Bay 2nd Romanza 3rd Vega King

Carolus Magnus dug deep to make all at Musselburgh but, at his stage of life, even a 2lb rise might find him out. Towards the other end of their careers are NORCROSS BROW, Masaban and Walk On Walk On - three-year-olds who all occupied the runner-up berth on their latest outings. Charlie Clover's gelding was only collared in the final furlong when attempting to supplement a Brighton triumph at Doncaster and the drop back down to 7f is very much in his favour.
Prediction : 1st Norcross Brow 2nd Masaban 3rd Walk On Walk On

Opal Storm gets on well with Faye McManoman and they combined to spring their second surprise of the year when accounting for a subsequent winner over C&D. The six-year-old is not really known for putting two good runs together now, whereas CRAFTY SPIRIT has been in excellent form this campaign and backed up a Wetherby win when coming clear over track and trip. He is just preferred to Azuinthejungle, another who has held his form well recently and fully deserved his Ayr success. Golden Havana won't be far away either.
