The David O’Meara trained four-year-old bounced back from an unseat at Carlisle in May to beat the consistent Dark Thirty by two lengths over this course and distance off a mark of 88.

The handicapper raised Dark Cloud Rising 6lbs for that success which is fair and he ran well to finish 3rd on his next start at Pontefract when slowly away and not getting the clearest of runs that day. He returns back to Ripon off the same mark and he looks the one to beat.
