Nabati gets the vote in a competitive Flying Scotsman Stakes after already establishing a level of form that several of his less-exposed rivals still need to reach.
There are obvious dangers among the opposition, including impressive debut winner Forbidden Fire and the expensive Rock Montreal, but Nabati's Listed second earlier in the campaign looks particularly strong with the benefit of hindsight.
Several horses from that race have since boosted the form at Group and Listed level, including the winner, who followed up in the Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes. Others who finished around Nabati have also run well in Pattern company, giving the performance considerably more substance than it may have appeared to have at the time.
Nabati has since added another victory of his own and remains open to further improvement. With proven form against higher-class opposition already on his CV, Racing Lee believes he sets the benchmark the others have to surpass.

Oddschecker Betting Pick: CARAGIO
The Betfred Leger Legends Classified Stakes is being shaped by an interesting betting move for Caragio.
He is the most-backed runner in the race this morning, accounting for 17% of bets through Oddschecker, while his price has shortened considerably from 7/1 into 4/1.
Caragio is already a three-time winner, with victories coming between six and seven furlongs on both good-to-firm ground and the all-weather.
He was last seen at Doncaster in June, when finishing sixth of 11 behind Alpha Capture over seven furlongs. He was beaten five lengths on that occasion, but the strength of Friday morning's support suggests punters expect a considerably bigger performance this time.

Andy Holding's Tip: FINAL OBJECTIVE - 1pt WIN
Final Objective is fancied to confirm himself as a high-class juvenile following an excellent effort in the Gimcrack Stakes at York.
The Karl Burke-trained colt finished runner-up to the unbeaten Arapaho Gold that day, but the bare result does not tell the whole story. Final Objective travelled smoothly through a strongly-run contest and was one of only two horses able to sustain the pace late on, with the front pair putting clear daylight between themselves and the remainder.
That race also produced an impressive speed figure, strengthening the case that Final Objective ran to a very high level despite defeat.
Friday's drop to five furlongs should place extra emphasis on tactical speed, but his ability to travel strongly could prove a major asset if the Flying Childers develops into another strongly-run race.

Caballo De Mar has attracted some serious support ahead of the Betfred Howard Wright Doncaster Cup Stakes, with three of the five biggest bets placed through Oddschecker on this race backing him to win.
The five-year-old has already won nine races at distances ranging from 1m5f to 2m4f, demonstrating exactly the type of stamina required for this assignment.
His latest appearance came at York in the Group 2 Lonsdale Cup, where he was sent off the 7/4 favourite before finishing fourth behind Al Nayyir over two miles.
That represented a rare below-par result during what has otherwise been a productive campaign, and punters appear willing to forgive him.
At around 6/4 at the time of writing, the George Scott-trained runner is being backed to return to winning ways under Oisin Murphy.

Silver Lake has progressed rapidly through the handicap ranks and may not have reached her ceiling yet.

Her latest York success came by a narrow margin, but she was required to make up significant ground in the closing stages, suggesting the winning margin arguably underestimated her superiority.

Few horses on Friday's card have attracted stronger high-stakes backing than Victoria Night in the Coopers EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes.
Six of the seven biggest bets recorded through Oddschecker on this race have backed Victoria Night, making her one of the clearest data-led selections of the afternoon.
Richard Hannon's filly made a highly promising debut at Sandown last month, finishing second of eight over seven furlongs after being denied by just a head by Tall Trees.
That performance came despite being sent off at 7/1 on her first racecourse appearance, and the experience should leave her significantly sharper for her second start.
The market certainly expects her to go one better at Doncaster, with Victoria Night trading at around 5/6 at the time of writing.

He has shown signs of progressing with experience and now gains the services of Oisin Murphy, whose presence in the saddle is a clear positive.
Both Murphy and Balding have enjoyed strong seasons, operating at strike rates of 25% and 19% respectively heading into Friday's action.
With five places available and the possibility of further improvement from the two-year-old, Liam Firkin believes Beresford Gap is capable of outrunning his double-figure odds.

The four-year-old has already shown he is effective around this sort of trip, recording three career victories between one mile and 1m1f, and he arrives following a respectable third at Newcastle earlier this month.
That latest run came over a little further than Friday's distance, so dropping back in trip could help him travel more comfortably through the race before delivering his challenge.
He does have something to find with a few of these on ratings, but his profile remains interesting at a double-figure price. The fact two of Oddschecker's in-house tipsters have independently landed on the same runner makes Amidst The Chaos an especially notable selection in the 17:20.
