DUBAI HONOUR was a beaten favourite when third in the Geoffrey Freer at Newbury last month, but that was not a bad effort considering it was his first start since a couple of outings in Australia in the spring. The 117-rated gelding could well bounce back to winning form on this occasion. Plage De Havre may prove to be the main threat after his determined York success, while the in-form Too Soon is next best.

CRANACHAN relished the step up to 2m when scoring over C&D three weeks ago and, given the ease of that success, a 9lb rise may not be enough to stop the three-year-old from following up. Holy See hit the crossbar in a valuable event at Galway and is likely to be in the mix once again. Spirit Mixer has not been at his very best of late, but the veteran has landed the previous two renewals of this contest so should not be underestimated.

Naval Cop got off the mark with a bit up her sleeve at Chepstow and could go well off bottom weight, while Quillan failed to see out the sixth furlong when losing his unbeaten record at York and will be better suited by this trip, although he has to overcome the nine stall. THIS MOMENT is looking for his hat-trick for George Boughey after wins at Newcastle and Thirsk and could be successful breaking from the favoured one box, despite a 6lb rise.

Two of the last three winners are back for more, with BOX TO BOX successful in 2023 and Spioradalta last season. The last-named races off a stone higher, which will make his life more difficult, whereas Hugo Palmer's gelding actually competes off his winning mark of two years ago and may have been aimed here. Second last term, beaten half a length, he meets Spioradalta on 16lb better terms and should strip fitter for his first run since when sixth at Windsor. Purple Moon and Star Cast are others to consider.

Tele Red is a veteran at the age of nine, but is still capable enough after a three-length fourth at Beverley on his one start this season. He won't mind any cut in the ground and could mount a challenge, but HOT CASH is preferred. Racing off 5lb lower than his last success back in June 2025, the booking of Cieren Fallon looks promising, as do first-time cheekpieces and the benefit of the inside stall. Zermatt Star is another to consider.

CRAZEE ICON faced a tougher task when upped in class at Goodwood last time. Andrew Balding's filly makes plenty of appeal back at this level, given she landed a double over C&D prior to her latest run, and also appears to be impervious to the going. Eagle Bay scored here before disappointing at Musselburgh on his handicap bow, but he can't be written off just yet. Midnight Strike and Apache Outlaw are others with a shout.

Danny McMenamin teamed up with Haveyoumissedme to win a division of this in 2024 and Iain Jardine's eight-year-old looks on a dangerous mark if back to his best, but NIBRAS GOLD could prove the one to beat. Second at Brighton last time, James Owen's charge scored over C&D before that and another bold bid looks on the cards. Spartan Times has a bit to find with the selection, but could still make the frame and is preferred to Loki.
