Ramensky was last seen when scoring over hurdles at Newton Abbot in June 2024 and the booking of Oisin Murphy has to be significant. That said, the lack of a recent run could find him out and the vote goes to FEMME FATALE. The step up to 2m has brought about plenty of improvement and she got off the mark at Lingfield last month, and a 2lb rise seems to be more than fair. Virtue Diligence needs to improve plenty on what he has achieved to date.
Prediction : 1st Femme Fatale 2nd Ramensky 3rd Virtue Diligence

Lovely Jubly gained a second career success when causing another upset on her return over C&D in July. However, she will need to step forward again off a 5lb higher mark. Knightmare wasn't at his best at Chepstow and could easily bounce back, but a chance is taken with SNOOKER MCCREW. The five-year-old has improved with each start since returning from a lengthy absence and wasn't disgraced when not appearing to stay 1m4f at Lingfield.
Prediction : 1st Snooker McCrew 2nd Lovely Jubly 3rd Knightmare

UNIONVILLE returned to winning ways here at the start of the month and the step up to a mile appears likely to yield further progression from the son of Havana Grey. Flyta's form prior to her latest outing at Haydock had been fairly solid and she has been given time to recover from that below-par effort. Others to consider are Paranjape and Bird Of War.
Prediction : 1st Unionville 2nd Flyta 3rd Paranjape

NATIONAL HONOUR progressed from his debut second at Newmarket to get off the mark at Thirsk. The son of Wootton Bassett appreciated stepping up to 7f and was tenacious at the finish. Toby Moore's 7lb claim effectively counters the penalty imposed and another bold showing is likely. Farasan and Rupert The Brave have shown promise and qualify for nurseries after this. As they might do better in that sphere, Solar Swing could be a bigger danger with a step forward from an encouraging introduction at Newbury.
Prediction : 1st National Honour 2nd Solar Swing 3rd Farasan

Guadalevin sets a fair standard and is noteworthy on these terms. However, she is becoming exposed and looks risky after failing to justify favouritism in a similar event at Carlisle. The well-bred BLING could be a more rewarding option after emitting positive vibes on debut at Newbury. The daughter of Starspangledbanner fluffed the start, but there was enough in the overall performance to suggest she has plenty more to offer. Blowing Up A Storm warrants a betting check on her racecourse bow.
Prediction : 1st Bling 2nd Guadalevin 3rd Blowing Up A Storm

Forbidden Colours and March Of Time bring know-how to the table and could have a big say in a modest-looking affair for the grade. However, ENCORE seemed in need of the run on her debut for the in-form William Haggas yard when she was reintroduced at Windsor. The daughter of Hello Youmzain can put her mainly younger rivals to the sword with a more accomplished performance. Mystic Veil ran green when last of three on her debut, but can kick on with the benefit of experience.
Prediction : 1st Encore 2nd Forbidden Colours 3rd Mystic Veil

SAX AVOIDANCE caused a surprise to win cosily on her handicap bow at Salisbury on Friday and provided this doesn't come too soon for the Charlie Pike-trained filly, she could be more than good enough to shoulder a 6lb penalty. Three Socks On should be happier back on an artificial surface and is respected in first-time cheekpieces, while Extraterrestrial is also noted.
Prediction : 1st Sax Avoidance 2nd Three Socks On 3rd Extraterrestrial

ANGEL SUMMER produced a career-best effort when fitted with a first-time tongue-tie (retained) at Windsor. The winner has been in excellent form so given that Patrick Owens' charge was only beaten a head, she must have an excellent chance of going one place better from 3lb higher. Happier has held her form well since completing a Wolverhampton/Ffos Las double and remains of interest, as does Chepstow maiden winner Kodicall, for whom a mark of 60 doesn't look insurmountable.
Prediction : 1st Angel Summer 2nd Happier 3rd Kodicall
