The William Haggas stable have hit a rich vein of form recently and DIPLOMATA (best priced at 11/8) looks set to further enhance his record. The Havana Grey filly ran with credit in three maiden/novice races before winning on her nursery debut last time at Haydock when encountering soft ground for the first time.
Diplomata won by a length despite getting hampered at the start and not getting a clear passage late on in the race. A 10lb rise is justified based on the dominance she showed that day and she should be able to follow up under the same conditions.

BEAUTIFUL DIAMOND (best priced at 6/4) has a good record at Ayr including winning this race last year and she can hopefully get back to winning ways. The Karl Burke trained mare won this race last year in impressive style by 2 ½ lengths on soft ground and although she hasn’t won yet this season, she has run well to finish 3 rd on three of her four starts this season.
Beautiful Diamond was 3 rd beaten only 1 ¼ lengths in the Group 2 Temple Stakes on her penultimate start before finishing 3 rd beaten only a length over 5f here last time. She returns from a 90 day break which is no concern as she has run well fresh and she should prove hard to beat.
