Skylar was a promising third behind a useful-looking colt on his debut at Haydock and should have more to offer. That considered, the well-bred Godophin newcomer HENRIK IBSEN could be the way to go. His dam is a half-sister to a couple of decent types and support in the betting would be significant. Please Don't Go and Fastidyah are the pick of the rest.
Prediction : 1st Henrik Ibsen 2nd Skylar 3rd Please Dont Go

The three-year-olds PLAID and Runman are the most attractive propositions as they get 5lb from their two elder rivals. The latter has won three of his six previous races and takes a drop in class. Nevertheless, the former has been more highly tried and this represents a much easier assignment than she has been accustomed to off late. Nesthorn seems more versatile regarding ground than Green Cape and he shades preference to take third place.
Prediction : 1st Plaid 2nd Runman 3rd Nesthorn

David O'Meara has won all three previous editions of this race and has a good chance of noting further success with DARKNESS, who is a previous course winner that runs off 3lb below that last winning mark. Storm Star's fifth-placed finish at Doncaster on his most recent start reads well and he is another to seriously consider off a competitive rating. Oliver Show and Tribal Chief are others to have gone well here before and they shouldn't be underestimated.
Prediction : 1st Darkness 2nd Storm Star 3rd Oliver Show

This looks a great opportunity for last year's winner NAQEEB, who finished three lengths in front of the top-rated Boiling Point in the Celebration Mile here most recently and is 3lb better off with that rival at these weights. Today's forecast better ground will be more to his liking and a bold bid looks assured. Lion's Pride also warrants respect dropped in both trip and class.
Prediction : 1st Naqeeb 2nd Boiling Point 3rd Lions Pride

EABHA is 9lb and upwards ahead of those who have qualified for an official rating and, despite a slightly disappointing effort in the May Hill Stakes at Doncaster recently, she looks the one to side with. The Space Blues filly ran a blinder when runner-up in the Prestige Stakes over C&D on her penultimate start and a repeat of that performance would make her tough to beat. Fillipas wasn't disgraced in Group 3 company at Salisbury and she may improve for stepping up in trip, while Zigazig Ah and Coral Cove are other names to note.
Prediction : 1st Eabha 2nd Fillipas 3rd Zigazig Ah

HOPE RISING has done well on the Flat this summer and is versatile trip-wise having won over 1m4f twice, 1m5f at Lingfield last time and 2m at Nottingham. This is arguably her toughest task to date, but she should give it another good go off the front and can continue in a rich vein of form. Solar Pass was a beaten favourite at Chester but cannot be overlooked on the strength of her previous form, while Personal Best is another to take seriously.
Prediction : 1st Hope Rising 2nd Solar Pass 3rd Personal Best

SOUND AND VISION gets in here under a light weight for the shrewd Ed Walker yard and might not be done improving yet following a deserved success over C&D last month. Assuming she can reproduce that form on this easier ground, the daughter of Starman boasts as good chance as any in this competitive sprint finale. Robert Anstruther is holding his form well and commands respect, while On Edge was back to winning ways at Sandown and joins the unexposed George Wickham on the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Sound And Vision 2nd Robert Anstruther 3rd George Wickham
