Jamie Snowden won this with a previous bumper winner last year, so No More Teardrops should be noted having won at Southwell in April. Point-to-point fourth Poets Pearl hails from a family of jumps winners and is another worth monitoring on debut under Rules, but ELATED gets another chance. Beaten a neck when odds-on at Worcester last time, she finished clear of the rest and Ben Pauling's mare is taken to make amends.
Prediction : 1st Elated 2nd No More Teardrops 3rd Poets Pearl

A dual winner on the level, MOMENT OF LIGHT made a winning hurdling/stable debut at Newton Abbot earlier in the month. Dan Skelton's new inmate could afford to idle in the closing stages and still return the cosy winner, so a 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent him from going in again. Vietnorm had shown ability before blotting his copybook when running out at Cartmel last time, while hurdling debutant Pass The Buck is one to note.
Prediction : 1st Moment Of Light 2nd Vietnorm 3rd Pass The Buck

FRINGILL DIKE was in fine form at this venue during the summer. He scored over C&D in June and was narrowly beaten when runner-up back here last time. Jedd O'Keeffe's chaser can race off an unchanged mark and looks worth sticking with. Sure Touch will be sharper for his recent comeback. He won over track and trip last autumn and can confirm superiority over the runner-up that day Nickelforce, while Jet To Vegas has struggled for form so far this year.
Prediction : 1st Fringill Dike 2nd Sure Touch 3rd Nickelforce

GALWAY REEL makes plenty of appeal in here having won it last year. A versatile performer representing a top yard (first run for Olly Murphy), he showed a lot more when reverting to fences here in July and Sean Bowen keeps the ride which is another big positive. Of the others, keep a close eye on Huckleberry Sting and Ribeye.
Prediction : 1st Galway Reel 2nd Huckleberry Sting 3rd Ribeye

Connections of Woodstock City will be hoping for a big run debuting for the Olly Murphy stable and he's really interesting going back over hurdles making his handicap debut in this sphere. The market should tell us more, but BUXTED REEL won well at Newton Abbot and looks the safer play. Timely Salute is another expected to be thereabouts at the business end.
Prediction : 1st Buxted Reel 2nd Woodstock City 3rd Timely Salute

A Stratford mishap aside, EDELAK has been in excellent form all year, winning five of his last six starts. He would have won at Stratford too if not for tipping up three out, and another bold showing looks assured for champion trainer Dan Skelton. Un Sens A La Vie was deemed good enough for the William Hill Hurdle at Newbury and performed well for fourth. He knows his way around here and is noted along with Indemnity.
Prediction : 1st Edelak 2nd Un Sens A La Vie 3rd Indemnity

A tricky handicap hurdle finale for punters to solve and just a tentative vote is for TRAVELING SOLDIER, who is 1-3 (win over fences) at this track. Olly Murphy's charge is yet to score over hurdles but is 2lb lower than when scoring over the larger obstacles here last summer and his recent form is encouraging. Matoury and The Clonmel Kid are others to bear in mind.
Prediction : 1st Traveling Soldier 2nd Matoury 3rd The Clonmel Kid
