Macarone has been on a roll lately, winning a classified C&D event before following up in narrow fashion at Bath. For all that he is only 1lb higher this time around, though, SUB THIRTEEN could have his measure. Jeremy Scott's gelding hit the frame in an ultra-competitive sprint series final at Bath a fortnight ago and a replication of that effort might be good enough, whilst it hasn't gone unnoticed that he's 6lb below his last winning mark. Lochaber could pick up the minor placing.Prediction : 1st Sub Thirteen 2nd Macarone 3rd Lochaber

Testing ground conditions might hold the key to RHODES RUNNER as evidenced in a Chester novice recently. Ralph Beckett's filly has yet to make much of an impact in nurseries but it could be different this time and she's fancied to repel the challenge of Blondie Larry, for whom an opening mark of 73 looks fair. Stable companion Knock Three Times (fourth) was less than a length in arrears of Perigord Noir (third) at Bath, and the former could find some improvement for the addition of first-time cheekpieces.Prediction : 1st Rhodes Runner 2nd Blondie Larry 3rd Knock Three Times

Despite the burden of a 5lb penalty, it is quite difficult to oppose the Stan Moore-trained CALL TIME. Jack Nicholls dropped his whip at a crucial stage over 6f but still managed to galvanise his mount, who got up in the nick of time. Bama Lama and Snow Day have something to prove at present so Some Nightmare and Outer Edge, who have both chased home the in-form Macarone (runs in the 1.19), look the only logical dangers.Prediction : 1st Call Time 2nd Some Nightmare 3rd Outer Edge

Two miles on a softer surface could stretch the stamina of some, and it may pay to side with Sir Mark Prescott's CAMPEONA. She's a distance winner and finished third in a better race at Kempton last time out when possibly left with too much to do. If she fails to make the most of the drop in grade, then four-time hurdle winner and Flat handicap debutant No Ordinary Joe could take advantage upped in trip, followed by Chester winner Carthusian. Prediction : 1st Campeona 2nd No Ordinary Joe 3rd Carthusian

Ghost Raider caught the eye when a length second on his Kempton debut, but he failed to build on that as hoped when only fourth at York. He might find this company and small field more to his liking, but preference is for the Andrew Balding-trained SILENT FORCE. A son of No Nay Never, he finished a decent third on his Newbury debut despite being hampered twice, and is expected to have learned from the experience. Time Glory is the suggestion for third.Prediction : 1st Silent Force 2nd Ghost Raider 3rd Time Glory

Prince Ali might prove popular after winning by three lengths at Chepstow last time, but he has been put up 6lb and may struggle to repeat that level. HOMELAND won a similar race on good ground here in July over further, and although beaten six lengths at Chepstow last month, that was a significantly better contest and the handicapper has dropped him a generous 6lb. Cosmic Girl tries a mile for the first time on her handicap debut and a rating of 58 may underestimate her true abilities.Prediction : 1st Homeland 2nd Prince Ali 3rd Cosmic Girl

King of The Dance prevailed by only a short-head when scoring over C&D six days ago. He faces a tougher test burdened with a 4lb penalty, so the vote goes to KALEIDOSCOPE EYES. The latter has recorded both of her wins on turf over the extended 7f here and, given one of those victories came in testing ground, the daughter of No Nay Never looks worth another try over this far. Desiderata and Arvana Belle look the pick of the remainder.Prediction : 1st Kaleidoscope Eyes 2nd King of The Dance 3rd Desiderata

WELLWHATSHAPPENIN was narrowly beaten on the soft going over a mile here earlier in the week. That was only his second outing for his current yard, so further improvement is not out of the question and he looks on a workable mark as he steps up in trip. Georg Zhukov has a few lengths to find with the selection on latest running but could still prove the main danger, while Pride Eye has a fighting chance of making the frame.Prediction : 1st Wellwhatshappenin 2nd Georg Zhukov 3rd Pride Eye
