Henfield has posted some good efforts on the Polytrack at Lingfield and can go well if she adapts to Tapeta, while another with strong credentials is previous C&D winner It's A Love Thing, who is dangerously well handicapped just now. However, preference is for MANTON ROAD, who is impervious to the surface and should have no issues with stepping back up in trip.
Prediction : 1st Manton Road 2nd Henfield 3rd Its A Love Thing

Billy Loughnane successfully guided ARUNDEL home at Kempton last week and the partnership could again be hard to overhaul under a 5lb penalty. Fellow last-time winner Golspie only went up 2lb for his exploits at Southwell and must be feared on these terms, while Currumbin has been knocking on the door and is capable of going close back at this trip. Any support in the betting for Sevenkingsmustdie would be noteworthy.
Prediction : 1st Arundel 2nd Golspie 3rd Currumbin

Despite being the most exposed runner in the field, GOLD STAR GAZING boasts the strongest form and has a good chance of getting off the mark. It's been a quiet spell for Saeed bin Suroor, but the Newmarket trainer introduces Soft Landing at a realistic level and she is suggested as the biggest danger ahead of her well-bred stable companion Arabian Summer, who is respected but resumes after being on the sidelines for 718 days.
Prediction : 1st Gold Star Gazing 2nd Soft Landing 3rd Arabian Summer

Distillation could hardly have won any easier over C&D and is evidently heading in the right direction, but he's effectively 12lb higher under the 6lb penalty and DARK MANDATE is preferred as a result. Eve Johnson Houghton's bay overcame a wide draw to fill the runner-up spot at Lingfield, but is berthed much handier this evening and it is noteworthy that Billy Loughnane gets aboard for the first time. Deadline is worth some consideration too.
Prediction : 1st Dark Mandate 2nd Distillation 3rd Deadline

None of these have pulled up any trees so far but perhaps it is worth taking a chance on NIGHTBLOOM. Amo Racing parted with 400,000 euros to acquire the filly at the Goffs sales in September last year, but she was a disappointing favourite on her debut. There were more encouraging signs at Sandown and switching to the all-weather shouldn't be a problem, so it would come as no surprise were she to show her true colours on the back of wind surgery. Urumita shares a similar profile and is noted along with newcomer Oxbridge.
Prediction : 1st Nightbloom 2nd Urumita 3rd Oxbridge

METHGAL has been in excellent form for some time now and he gained a third career success in decisive fashion at Kempton. Dylan Cunha's gelding must shoulder a 5lb penalty but given the manner of that most recent triumph, it is unlikely to stop him. Rye was also successful last time and is likely to be one of his main market rivals, while Cosmic Clarets finished a really creditable second on his stable debut and remains capable of a bit better.
Prediction : 1st Methgal 2nd Rye 3rd Cosmic Clarets

NOTABLE CHARM showed his appreciation for the step up in trip when producing a career-best display over C&D last week. Beaten less than a length by a much more battle-hardened stayer, Marcus Tregoning's three-year-old actually drops 2lb here and looks poised to break his duck. D Day Major Winter also occupied the runner-up berth last time, but might not relish the extra yardage. The veteran Billy Bathgate has stamina in abundance and is no back number, while Lilykoy is towards the other end of her career and has more to offer.
Prediction : 1st Notable Charm 2nd Billy Bathgate 3rd Lilykoy

EQUION narrowly prevailed to reward favourite-backers at Ffos Las and although his penalty makes life tougher, he has dropped to a lowly mark compared to his peak and can strike again while the iron is hot. It also helps that he doesn't really come up against any in-form opposition, with the exception being Kev, who found just one too strong when attempting to supplement a Lingfield triumph at Bath. Offiah's Boy is possibly the pick of the rest.
Prediction : 1st Equion 2nd Kev 3rd Offiahs Boy

African Spirit has been picking up minor money, although he has stamina to prove and is passed over in favour of DUMFRIES. Ruth Carr's gelding is working his way back into form and his third at Beverley suggested his turn could be imminent. Book Of Life has been holding his form quite well, as has Nicely Curved, although the latter has been placing in classified events and now tries handicap company.
Prediction : 1st Dumfries 2nd African Spirit 3rd Book Of Life
