3:00 Ascot - Princling (1pt)
Anthony Oppenheimer has a strong hand in this race with both Cockade and PRINCLING (best priced at 9/4) with preference going to the latter who has the benefit of form at the track. The William Haggas trained three-year-old had some smart novice form as well as good runs in handicaps since. He finished a close 4th in the re-arranged Silver Bowl Handicap at Carlisle before finishing 5th at Royal Ascot in the Golden Gates Handicap off a mark of 91 and 6th at Newmarket when last seen when too keen over 1m2f in a small field.
Princling has been gelded since his last run 84 days ago and now drops back down in trip to a mile which looks sure to suit. The handicapper has dropped him down to a mark of 90 and he looks the one to beat.

4:10 Ascot - Far Above Dream (1pt)
The heavy ground was against FAR ABOVE DREAM (best priced at 7/2) in the Ayr Gold Cup when last seen but should bounce back to form back on fast ground here. The James Owen trained four-year-old won his first two starts of the season before finishing 4th beaten only 1 ½ lengths in the Wokingham Handicap at Royal Ascot off a mark of 99. He went on to run well at both Goodwood and York including when only beaten a nose on his penultimate start off a mark of 99.
Far Above Dream weakened late on in the Ayr Gold Cup on heavy ground but that can be excused and a rating of 101 doesn’t look beyond him in this easier contest.
