Having recently found only a well-handicapped rival too strong over C&D, GEMINI MAN makes plenty of appeal in his current form. The veteran finished five lengths ahead of his nearest pursuer on that occasion, so a 1lb ease in the ratings may prove to be lenient. Koko Blue is sure to prove popular after last month's victory here, but an 8lb hike in the handicap demands more, which could see Hamilton runner-up Millbuie emerging as a bigger threat.Prediction : 1st Gemini Man 2nd Distinction 3rd Koko Blue

Although Tiberio Force found life tougher reverting to handicap company when third at Beverley recently, a similar performance should see him involved at the business end once more. Regardless, KAMEEL bounced back to form with a close-up second at that same venue and this dual course winner should have no issues reverting to the Tapeta. Typeface is a feasible alternative given his current heart.Prediction : 1st Kameel 2nd Tiberio Force 3rd Typeface
17:15 Newcastle
Having filled the runner-up spot on her last three outings, another bold showing is forecast from Perfect Hope, who goes with first-time blinkers added. However, Tom Ward's filly has been nudged up 2lb in the ratings and may have to play second fiddle once more, with SON OF A FISH taken to capitalise. The son of Territories found only one rival too strong on his latest outing at Redcar and a breakthrough victory may beckon. Nursery debutant Callisterra is also worth a second look.Prediction : 1st Son Of A Fish 2nd Perfect Hope 3rd Callisterra

The returning Maneuver fetched 600,000gns as a yearling and showed promise in both starts as a juvenile last term. The Sea The Stars filly could do much better as a three-year-old and is respected. However, NOOZHAA shades preference on this occasion. Roger Varian's charge made a bright start at Kempton, despite showing clear signs of inexperience. Bred to appreciate stepping up to a mile, the daughter of Pinatubo can step forward to break her maiden tag. Star Mirage sports first-time cheekpieces and is most appealing of the remainder.Prediction : 1st Noozhaa 2nd Maneuver 3rd Star Mirage
18:15 Newcastle
George Boughey saddled the winner of this 12 months ago and relies on Hunstanton this time around. The Night Of Thunder colt needs to leave a lacklustre introduction behind him, though, and it is probably best to look elsewhere. A 220,000gns purchase, Big Tribe would be interesting if the market speaks in his favour, while Princeland and Knightbolt look capable judged on their respective debuts. This should be a good opportunity for ASHEYRA, however. Third on her debut before chasing home subsequent Rockfel winner Pensando A Te at Ascot, she sets a clear standard and is likely to prove hard to beat if she replicate either of those efforts.Prediction : 1st Asheyra 2nd Big Tribe 3rd Princeland
18:45 Newcastle
Finn Ironside made all to score in comfortable fashion over C&D latest and is likely to go close off 3lb higher, but this can go to older legs in the shape of SPARTAN FIGHTER. The veteran has claimed 12 of his 16 career successes at this venue, including when a shock 80-1 winner last month, and he remains competitively treated off just 2lb more in the ratings. Others to note include Cable Beach, Luminous Warrior and Palmarian.Prediction : 1st Spartan Fighter 2nd Finn Ironside 3rd Cable Beach
19:15 Newcastle
LANARRA was a game winner on her only previous run here and is highly appealing, heading into this after a win and a placed effort at Catterick most recently. Further success could open the door for an autumn campaign on the all-weather. Soul Warrior has to be feared under a 6lb penalty for his win at Redcar, while Trucial Pearl and the less-exposed Elias Escape are others to note in the betting from potentially beneficial high draws. Prediction : 1st Lanarra 2nd Soul Warrior 3rd Trucial Pearl
19:45 Newcastle
King Sharja, who is 1lb well in under a penalty, is likely to be popular on the back of three consecutive successes. However, two of his previous three visits to this particular course yielded very little in return and that combined with the latest rise in the weights, is enough to cast seeds of doubt. The dual course winner, JAMAICAN STORM, has no concerns about his effectiveness at Gosforth Park and the top weight looks a safer option this time. Southwell winner Izzari and Beauty Generation complete the shortlist.Prediction : 1st Jamaican Storm 2nd King Sharja 3rd Izzari
20:15 Newcastle
MAYO COUNTY is generally consistent on the all-weather and this appears to be well within her comfort zone based on past performances. Get Up Everybody scored gamely over this C&D on his penultimate start and a repeat of that level would see him go close. However, he needs to bounce back from disappointing favourite backers here a fortnight ago. Brazen Idol, who runs off 10lb below his last winning mark, and Pockley, a 10-time course winner, are others to seriously consider. Prediction : 1st Mayo County 2nd Get Up Everybody 3rd Brazen Idol
