CATUAI shaped well in a barrier trial at Leopardstown before thrown in the deep end on debut under Rules in a Listed race at Fairyhouse last month. The selection was far from disgraced when only weakening inside the final furlong and beaten less than five lengths behind Big Negotiator. This represents a significant drop in class. Better Yet has been placed on both outings over 5f and should appreciate this step up in distance, while Marcescence had both Red Lily and Destiny Calls behind when staying on well into third over C&D last month. Miss Mona Keeba, On The Cat Walk and Direct Action are all newcomers to note in the betting.
Prediction : 1st Catuai 2nd Better Yet 3rd Marcescence

PORT ARTHUR has been placed on a number of occasions, including on soft ground at Naas last year, and again showed a liking for that surface when beating all bar Valentino Eclipse at the Curragh last month, where Tribal Belle was well behind in sixth. My Cubby Bear also filled the runner-up spot when making a belated seasonal debut in a Cork handicap last week and rates a threat, along with Almeiyda. The latter drops down to this trip for the first time and has shown pace over 7f, including when runner-up to Sindagan at the Galway Festival. What's Enough indicated ability on debut at Bellewstown last week, while Lilli's Angel is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Port Arthur 2nd My Cubby Bear 3rd Almeiyda

Having posted his best effort to date when runner-up at Fairyhouse, Prince Of Peppard should give another good account. That said, the son of Starman is effectively 8lb higher with Ben Coen taking over in the saddle and preference is for DOCKS. Paul Flynn's charge proved far more competitive on his second-placed handicap bow at Naas and looks capable of overcoming a 5lb rise in the ratings. His conqueror that day, Santo Parvenue, is also of interest stepping up in trip after being turned over at odds-on at Down Royal.
Prediction : 1st Docks 2nd Prince Of Peppard 3rd Santo Parvenue

A return to 5f and introduction of blinkers proved just the ticket for Bellewstown winner One Cool Bear, although a 7lb penalty could be enough to thwart his follow-up bid. With that in mind, it might be worth siding with VERIFIED, who accounted for 18 rivals at Cork recently and that form may prove to be a touch stronger. Reopposing second Pansy Poe is 4lb better off with the selection so she must be taken seriously.
Prediction : 1st Verified 2nd One Cool Bear 3rd Pansy Poe

JESUS GREEN was pitched into a Group 1 after his debut second at Leopardstown and proved more than up to the task when chasing home potential superstar Darkness Falls at the same venue on Irish Champions Weekend. Joseph O'Brien's colt sets a high standard and a maiden should be a formality before he ascends to the top table again. Soldat's staying-on fourth at Naas will have given connections plenty of encouragement, and Selosse and Aachen also made pleasing introductions at the Curragh and Dundalk respectively. The latter's stable companion Choctaw Nation cost 320,000gns as a yearling and is a fascinating newcomer.
Prediction : 1st Jesus Green 2nd Selosse 3rd Choctaw Nation

Sanctijude is a reliable filly and benefited from a short break when hanging on at Punchestown. Divine Legend gained her reward for some fine efforts in defeat with a breakthrough triumph at Fairyhouse, but fellow handicap debutant LADY IN GOLD is more intriguing. The daughter of St Mark's Basilica sprung a surprise at the second time of asking on the Dundalk Polytrack back in February and has untold potential. Expert Dancer ran really well to occupy the runner-up berth at the Galway Festival and should be in the thick of the action again.
Prediction : 1st Lady In Gold 2nd Expert Dancer 3rd Divine Legend

NEPHIN MOUNTAIN will be suited by the step back up in distance as he makes a quick reappearance after finishing a modest sixth on softer ground at Bellewstown last Thursday. He won over a trip close to this at Ballinrobe in July and showed up well here on a couple of occasions since, winning over a mile in August before finishing third over this distance early last month. He has a favourable low draw and should be suited by the ground. Reponse Finale was very slowly away at Clonmel last time and did well in the circumstances to finish a close-up second. Top-weight Albatala, who was a 12-length winner over a similar distance at Down Royal in June before taking the runner-up spot in a mares' handicap hurdle at Sligo the following month.
Prediction : 1st Nephin Mountain 2nd Reponse Finale 3rd Albatala

SEARCOG is possibly deserving of another winning turn. She has run nice races on a number of occasions on the Flat and over hurdles since scoring over an extended 1m1f at Punchestown in September last year and the ground would have been against her when she failed to land a blow over a longer trip than this at Bellewstown six days ago. Although not as good at Down Royal last time, Chloe's Boy can be given a chance on the form of her earlier win at Punchestown, a race that also brings Patrick Street into the equation. Dark Summit was not beaten all that far at Sligo on his penultimate start but wasn't as good on more testing ground at the Curragh since.
Prediction : 1st Searcog 2nd Dark Summit 3rd Chloes Boy
