GREEN ICON has improved with each run since teaming up with John and Rhys Flint. The latest of those resulted in a cosy Bath success and a 2lb rise looks extremely manageable given his past exploits, suggesting the son of Showcasing might be able to follow up as long as he can negotiate a wide berth. Dumfries isn't ideally drawn either but that shouldn't be too much of an issue for the hold-up performer, who can go close again having been edged out at Wolverhampton. Potters Prince and Mercurius Power are others to consider.
Prediction : 1st Green Icon 2nd Dumfries 3rd Potters Prince

Although far from reliable, it might be best to stick with the recent Wolverhampton scorer NO KNEE NEVER. James Owen's gelding cruised into contention before picking up the leaders in comprehensive fashion and a 4lb rise looks far from insurmountable on that evidence, for all that he's yet to record back-to-back wins in his career. Izzari took the scalp of R P Mcmurphy over C&D before struggling at Newcastle but the pair remain firmly in calculations, as does Bath scorer Chilly Breeze.

HOTTERTHANJULY failed to really make an impact on her racecourse bow, but the market suggested that might be the case and Richard Hannon's filly is fancied to take the necessary step forward now. Dropping a furlong in trip could suit the daughter of Palace Pier at this stage in her career, as might the sounder surface. Ruby Sands sets the standard with an official rating of 76 and sits high on the shortlist, along with Diamondsforyou. Don't give up on Lizzie Bennet either, whose debut form reads extremely well.

The market should tell us more about Light Snowfall and Ardangel on their introductions, but preference is for experience and GRANITEVILLE can get off the mark. Her Kempton fourth when making her UK debut wasn't devoid of promise and she was beaten less than three lengths when filling the same position at Ffos Las. Cercis is another to bear in mind.
Prediction : 1st Graniteville 2nd Light Snowfall 3rd Ardangel

GO LOCKERS GO won going away at Wolverhampton over this distance and the manner of that performance suggests the three-year-old gelding should be fine switching from a tight track to a more galloping one here. He's still unexposed over 6f and a 5lb higher mark might not be enough to prevent another bold showing. Of the others, keep Wise Crack and Irish Incentive in mind.

JESSE LUC showed a lot more when finishing third here a little over three weeks ago and it could be his turn to strike, with the fitting of a first-time visor a potential source of improvement. It won't be easy, though, because Eightthreeone arrives in good nick having won an apprentice handicap at Yarmouth on Monday and he escapes a penalty. Toptime is another to take seriously.
Prediction : 1st Jesse Luc 2nd Eightthreeone 3rd Toptime

Tanjen and the novice winner Star Noir arrive on the back of convincing victories on turf. The former makes most appeal of that pair having scored here in the past, but he has a 7lb rise to contend with and GOYARD is taken to land the spoils. David O'Meara's charge caught the eye running on late over C&D last time to grab the runners-up spot and the top weight looks set to strike off his current mark.

COSMO BROWN is getting better with racing and struck trouble when fancied to get off the mark at Bath. In the circumstances, he did well to finish fourth and maybe he can break through now stepping up another furlong. Roker Roar has picked up his share of minor money and has experience of racing at this venue so may be the primary threat, as long as Neswick doesn't take too big a step forward for the switch to handicaps. L'Eagle Aid is worth some thought too.
Prediction : 1st Cosmo Brown 2nd Roker Roar 3rd Neswick

FLIGHTOFTHEPHOENIX notched-up a double in August and her recent third over C&D suggests that she hasn't finished winning yet. Charlie Hills' filly looks worth sticking with off an unchanged mark, although alternatives abound in an open affair. Recent Wolverhampton winner Lilly Lux is not out of it back up in trip, while a case can also be made for the likes of Domination, Melody De Vega and Seacole.
