DIVINE WHISPER heads the shortlist after a third to Wild Blossom at Glorious Goodwood. Slowly away that day, the form looks good with the second running well in the Flying Childers, and she has more room for improvement than most. Agamemnon has held his own in better company and is the best horse here on ratings, while Angels Passing couldn't get involved in the Lowther and will be happier in this sort of company.Prediction : 1st Divine Whisper 2nd Agamemnon 3rd Angels Passing

Wahdan won with ease at Pontefract, despite being blocked for a run, and even though this is a tougher contest, he could still go well. Ancestor failed to see out the mile and a half when sixth in a valuable handicap at Ascot and can do better at this trip, but WATER TO WINE is preferred. The winner of his first two starts, he found the going too quick in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot but makes his handicap debut on a more suitable surface against weaker opposition.Prediction : 1st Water To Wine 2nd Ancestor 3rd Wahdan

Miss Lady Grace was eighth at Southwell but that was her first start in three months and, on the return to turf, she could surprise a few. Canvas carries a 5lb penalty after a three-and-a-half-length victory at Wolverhampton and has an even better record on grass, but the nod goes the way of WEFFAAG. The Havana Grey colt ran on well to win over 7f at Newcastle and a mark of 79 may underestimate him ahead of his handicap debut for a trainer who loves a winner here.Prediction : 1st Weffaag 2nd Canvas 3rd Miss Lady Grace
15:17 York
AL SHABAB STORM finished an excellent third in the Portland, despite being hampered approaching the furlong marker. He'll likely need a bit of luck again, but stall five is a potential positive and Harry Vigors is an excellent booking. Annaf wasn't far behind him at Doncaster and then didn't run too badly at Ascot. Old Is Gold has started to confirm the promise he showed as a juvenile with victories at Goodwood and Newmarket but is in much deeper from 9lb higher, while Curragh winner Coul Angel and last year's scorer Binhareer warrant close inspection too.Prediction : 1st Al Shabab Storm 2nd Annaf 3rd Old Is Gold
15:57 York
William Haggas and Tom Marquand teamed up to win this 12 months ago and can repeat the dose courtesy of IRON STONE LAD. He was only three-quarters of a length in front of Coloniser when second at Newbury on debut, but the Cracksman colt looked like he would be suited by stepping up to a mile, whereas Coloniser weakened inside the final furlong. Sole newcomer National Anthem is related to three useful individuals and looks certain to play a part given the current form of his yard. Don't underestimate Youcanbetheone because he made an introduction full of promise at Ayr.Prediction : 1st Iron Stone Lad 2nd National Anthem 3rd Coloniser
16:32 York
DIVINE KNIGHT was running in race likes the Cambridgeshire this time last year and took advantage of a sliding handicap mark when scoring at Yarmouth recently. He's gone back up 4lb, but remains unexposed over this trip and might be able to win again. Master Builder was slowly into stride here last time and was never involved, but is better judged on his previous victory at the track and could easily bounce back. Bulletin and Spirit Of Acklam also command attention.Prediction : 1st Divine Knight 2nd Master Builder 3rd Bulletin
17:07 York
BE THE STANDARD boasts some interesting form and is still open to improvement. A really solid second at Newmarket last time, Hugo Palmer's charge got closest to a certain Bow Echo in a Newbury maiden in August 2025 and could have enough in hand off 82 to win a competitive handicap like this. Progressive prior to a lacklustre Newbury display, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Almekarem bounced back to form, while the in-form Pol Roger and Pearl Eye won't go down without a fight.Prediction : 1st Be The Standard 2nd Almekarem 3rd Pol Roger
