Dan Skelton won this 12 months ago and is represented by Divine Diva this time around. She should progress for the switch to hurdles but so should PRINCESS DAY, who gets the vote. Jeremy Scott's mare won her sole point-to-point before cruising to success in a couple of bumpers. The daughter of Success Days could only manage a midfield finish when sent off favourite for the Grade 2 mares' bumper at Aintree, but can resume her progress now. Others to note include Connells Cross and Kamille Au Kanada.
Prediction : 1st Princess Day 2nd Divine Diva 3rd Connells Cross

Quite a few of these arrive with something to prove but that can't be said of KATES CHOICE, who broke her duck at Ffos Las in May and wasn't disgraced at Fontwell next time. The mare should have a bit more to offer on ground that will suit her well and she is preferred to handicap newcomer Lady Blackmore. Ugo Bingo took a step back in the right direction at Newton Abbot and must enter calculations.
Prediction : 1st Kates Choice 2nd Lady Blackmore 3rd Ugo Bingo

MWABANI sets only a moderate standard with an official rating of 114, but he struck the woodwork on each of his three starts last term and might not need much more to break his duck. Lion Rose Sivola showed lots of promise in a couple of bumpers so could feasibly take his form to a new level now sent over obstacles. The Dan Skelton-trained Skibidirizz is most appealing of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Mwabani 2nd Lion Rose Sivola 3rd Skibidirizz

With his yard in fantastic form, the progressive HARBOUR LIGHT is fancied to complete a hat-trick on his return to action. A 5lb rise in the ratings for his latest success at Stratford looks fair and this longer distance shouldn't pose him any issues. Bound For Glory has finished third on both outings in handicap company and he's feared most, ahead of seasonal debutant West Orchard, who may be slightly inconvenienced by a drop back in trip.
Prediction : 1st Harbour Light 2nd Bound For Glory 3rd West Orchard

Having scored on three of her last four starts, Service Minimum must rank highly on the shortlist. That said, Dan Skelton's mare is 6lb higher in a more competitive contest, which could leave the door open for handicap/seasonal debutant LEADER CRIK. The form of the five-year-old's breakthrough victory at Doncaster has worked out very well, so an opening mark of 128 looks surmountable. Haydock winner Matty's Getaway adds further spice to the mix on his reappearance.
Prediction : 1st Leader Crik 2nd Service Minimum 3rd Mattys Getaway

Norn Iron proved progressive during his novice chase campaign and posted a cracking second in a Listed handicap at the Punchestown Festival. That said, the eight-year-old did appear to improve for the step up to 2m4f, so a drop back in distance on his return to timber dampens enthusiasm. With that in mind, dual Scottish Champion Hurdle third OOH BETTY is the most solid proposition, with this stiffer course expected to suit. Stream Of Stars is a feasible alternative.
Prediction : 1st Ooh Betty 2nd Norn Iron 3rd Stream Of Stars

Masked Blagny offered something to work with on his opening third at Carlisle and should put that experience to good use. However, there are some intriguing winning point-to-pointers on show in Onetingfornuttin and OLD COAST ROAD, with preference for the latter. The five-year-old is a half-brother to the high-class Ball D'Arc and he'll take all the beating if possessing some of that ability. Newcomer Too Many Acres is worth a second look in the betting.
Prediction : 1st Old Coast Road 2nd Onetingfornuttin 3rd Masked Blagny
