The Jim Bolger-trained ITA FLORENCE shaped well enough on her debut at Gowran Park to suggest she can get her head in front now. Despite missing the break and showing signs of inexperience, the daughter of Sioux Nation stayed on nicely in the closing stages. Although that race was over a furlong longer, she should have learned plenty on that occasion and connections clearly feel she has the speed for this trip. Katty caught the eye on her opening two runs before improving to finish third at the Curragh last time. Fly Smartly has picked up plenty of experience which should see her get involved for the Robson De Aguiar stable.
Prediction : 1st Ita Florence 2nd Katty 3rd Fly Smartly

Runner-up over course and distance last time, the Aidan O'Brien-trained BENGAL TIGER can register a first career win. Having shown little on his first start, the son of No Nay Never improved significantly for the application of first-time cheekpieces on his second appearance. With connections opting to retain the headgear, he holds every chance of getting his head in front. Newcomer Major Triumph, a stablemate of the selection could provide the biggest danger, and in a race where few have shown any solid form, it could easily fall to a debutant. Rejoinder was highly tried on his debut here in July and might be open to further improvement upped in trip following a gelding operation.
Prediction : 1st Bengal Tiger 2nd Major Triumph 3rd Rejoinder

THE SCALLIONATOR, who seems well treated at the weights, can land this valuable prize for trainer Michael Mulvaney. A maiden winner at Listowel in May, the son of Calyx has been highly tried on subsequent starts. Dropping in class here, he holds decent claims if staying the seven-furlong trip. Letmeentertainyou has the potential to develop into a decent performer in time. Off the mark at Listowel last month, the David Marnane trained colt is still a work in progress but looks to have plenty of ability. If this race doesn't come too soon in his career he can go very close, while Seven Nation Army is another to consider in a very competitive affair.
Prediction : 1st The Scallionator 2nd Letmeentertainyou 3rd Seven Nation Army

Although disappointing at Gowran Park last time, FAIYUM run a big race when second to Miss Scott in a Group 3 contest at the Curragh on her previous start. With the latter going on to frank the form at Longchamp last weekend, Ger Lyons' filly could take beating. Princess Child hinted her turn was near when staying on well to claim minor honours at the Curragh last weekend. Stepping back up to a mile here should suit Joseph O'Brien's inmate, while the unexposed Glyfada is one to note as she steps up in class.
Prediction : 1st Faiyum 2nd Princess Child 3rd Glyfada

CAUGHT U SLEEPING makes a quick return after finishing third at Killarney earlier in the week and the hint should be taken. The Noel Meade trained filly benefitted from a similar short gap when scoring at this track earlier in the season. With Colin Keane staying loyal to the daughter of Cotai Glory there is much to recommend her in this company. Galway Listed winner Beset is more exposed than some of her rivals but arrives here in rude health following that Ballybrit victory. The Joseph O'Brien-trained mare rates the main danger. In My Teens has failed to build on an impressive handicap success at the Curragh in June but has been set some stiff tasks and should find these easier to deal with.
Prediction : 1st Caught U Sleeping 2nd Beset 3rd In My Teens

Tony Martin has few equals when it comes to lining one up for these staying handicaps, so PUTAPOUNDINTHEJAR has to be of interest. Victorious in the Galway Hurdle during the summer and a more recent winner over fences, the son of Walk In The Park looks on a tempting mark returning to the Flat. Light Up The Dark went close at Killarney in August and could land a blow back at a similar level with Shay Wallace taking 7lb off her back, while Helvic Dream also enters calculations back on the level.
Prediction : 1st Putapoundinthejar 2nd Light Up The Dark 3rd Helvic Dream

VLHOVA was a winner at Killarney last year and had good form on testing ground in the autumn. She was noted making late headway at Listowel and now steps up in trip with the trainer's son, still looking for his first winner, taking over in the plate. The Shaman filly has come down nicely in the ratings and this race might have been the target for some time. Guy's Girl won on yielding ground at Clonmel and has only gone up 4lb, with trainer Willie McCreery now fitting a visor in place of cheekpieces. Jp's Express handled easy ground when winning at the Galway festival but 1m 4f was too far for him at Listowel last time, with this trip a fraction shorter.
Prediction : 1st Vlhova 2nd Guys Girl 3rd Jps Express

SPECKLED MEADOW has been unplaced in all six outings this season, but the rain has come at the right time for her and she won this off a light weight last year. The nine-year-old, ridden by an in-form apprentice, has tumbled in the ratings and has a good record at this time of year. Letiza was a winner over 1m 4f at Roscommon and is only 3lb higher. Her yard continues to send out plenty of winners, but the ground might not be to her liking. Fratas, behind Letiza at Roscommon last time, has been expensive to follow lately but will be suited by the ground and may well play a part in the finish.
Prediction : 1st Speckled Meadow 2nd Fratas 3rd Letiza
