Just the two head to post for the opener and neither outcome would be surprising. Start Again broke his fencing duck at the third time of asking at Huntingdon after being fitted with first-time cheekpieces and further progress appears likely despite the 7lb penalty, but IN THE TRENCHES is preferred. He was unable to score in 14 attempts over the larger obstacles when trained by Gavin Cromwell, but he made the perfect start for Jennie Candlish at Warwick and might be capable of better now that the penny has dropped.
Prediction : 1st In The Trenches 2nd Start Again 3rd null

Royal Sapphire has really progressed since turning his attention to hurdling, but the son of Australia will probably need a bit more to defy a double penalty for a brace of Fontwell wins. With that in mind, the vote goes to MAGNETUDE. James Owen's gelding achieved an official rating of 94 on the level as recently as July and if able to translate that ability he's likely to be a tough nut to crack. Watcha Snoop can chase the pair home.
Prediction : 1st Magnetude 2nd Royal Sapphire 3rd Watcha Snoop

VIRTUAL ROCK sprung a 33-1 shock at Uttoxeter but proved that success was no fluke when on target at Fontwell subsequently, and a further 2lb rise in the handicap might not be enough to stop him from completing a hat-trick. Evaluation and Rebel Tribesman both went agonisingly close last time so must feature prominently in calculations, while it would be unwise to dismiss former C&D winner My Chiquita who ought to benefit from an ease in class.
Prediction : 1st Virtual Rock 2nd Evaluation 3rd Rebel Tribesman

The progressive CAPTAIN COOL could edge a tight contest. He's been raised 4lb for his latest success at Bangor last month, but that may not be enough to anchor Jennie Candlish's charge and he can get the better of last year's winner Sir Tivo, who hasn't been as good in two starts since defeating the selection at Stratford in July. The latter also had the measure of In The Air (second) that day, while the in-from Singapore Trip is upped in class and will probably need a bit more.
Prediction : 1st Captain Cool 2nd Sir Tivo 3rd In The Air

BREIZH RIVER arrives in fine form and makes the most appeal. Tristan Davidson's charge won at Cartmel in June and has placed in tougher contests than this in both outings subsequently. The eight-year-old remains on a workable mark and is fancied to get the better of Parisencore, who would have finished closer than he did at Stratford if not for a blunder at the last. Genois could edge out Josh The Boss for third.
Prediction : 1st Breizh River 2nd Parisencore 3rd Genois

SEEYAINTHESUNINN is on the upgrade and looks the one to side with. The winner of three of his last four starts, the six-year-old appeared to score with plenty in hand at Perth last time and can defy a 6lb hike on that evidence. Scottish Dancer made a bold bid to follow up on his earlier Bangor triumph when finishing runner-up at Hexham. He could pose a threat and makes more appeal than Valette and French Diablo.
Prediction : 1st Seeyainthesuninn 2nd Scottish Dancer 3rd Valette

Farhh Echo missed out on a hat-trick when runner-up at Plumpton, but he wasn't beaten far and another good effort is on the cards. However, CENTURION'S SISTER landed a maiden hurdle in fine style at Market Rasen when fitted with first-time cheekpieces, and Nicky Richards' mare looks worth sticking with in the retained headgear. Fine Point could prove pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Centurions Sister 2nd Farhh Echo 3rd Fine Point
