WOOTTON KING, a 240,000gns half-brother to a pair of Hong Kong Group 1 winners, showed plenty of the family talent when runner-up to a similarly smart prospect over C&D. That experience won't be lost on him and he can head into winter quarters on a high. Strike Force Max should be better for his Salisbury sixth, although bigger dangers probably lurk among the unraced brigade. Andrew Balding runs two, with St Mark's Basilica colt Chariots Of Fire preferred to Bayside Waltz, even though the latter cost 300,000gns as a yearling.
Prediction : 1st Wootton King 2nd Chariots Of Fire 3rd Bayside Waltz

DADDY STAR has twice sold for six-figure sums and will have given connections plenty of encouragement when occupying the runner-up position at Yarmouth. Granted natural improvement, Richard Hughes' No Nay Never filly should be able to make it second time lucky. Alanah Bananah took a step forward from her debut to her second start - something Out Late is expected to do now after a solid enough Newmarket introduction. Blistering is from a fine French family and is one of two interesting newcomers.
Prediction : 1st Daddy Star 2nd Blistering 3rd Out Late

Zephyra's nursery debut at Newmarket was really disappointing and she has something to prove now, although she was second on all three previous runs so can't be written off yet. LADY'S GRACE got going too late when sent off favourite for her Southwell introduction, but she caught the eye running on into fourth. She is expected to know much more about what is required of her and is worth sticking with. Mesolithic carries the same Cheveley Park Stud colours and heads a list of first-timers that also includes the well-related Wannabe Perfect.
Prediction : 1st Ladys Grace 2nd Zephyra 3rd Mesolithic

Somers Isles has produced a consistent level of form so far, including when third on her nursery debut at Chester. However, ARTHUR CARROT looked ready for a step up to 7f when keeping on into third over 6f at Southwell. Champion jockey Billy Loughnane gets back aboard and an opening mark of 74 does not look insurmountable. Tansy Lane wasn't disgraced at Newmarket and must enter calculations along with Fast Performer and Babzini.
Prediction : 1st Arthur Carrot 2nd Somers Isles 3rd Tansy Lane

Smart dual-purpose performer Hot Fuss returned from a summer break to score at Ascot and should be able to mount another serious bid off 3lb higher, but CODIAK has greater potential as a stayer at this stage of his career. Ed Bethell's charge has won three of his last four starts, including over 1m6f at Nottingham back in April. He's 4lb higher for this return, but two miles could elicit even more improvement. Guildmaster is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Codiak 2nd Hot Fuss 3rd Guildmaster

ROYAL ACCORD brushed aside 14 rivals to score at Nottingham earlier this month and won't be perturbed by a return to the all-weather. Peter Chapple-Hyam's gelding is 4lb higher, but remains competitively treated and a wide draw should be no problem given that this should be run to suit. Caragio drops in trip having won over 7f here a fortnight ago and should also benefit from a likely strong pace. He edges out Serenity Dream for next best.
Prediction : 1st Royal Accord 2nd Caragio 3rd Serenity Dream

Nzuri sprung a Windsor surprise, but was still allowed to go off at big odds at Wolverhampton and made a mockery of them again. Surely she won't slip under the radar this time, although LAHAN KINGMAN is still taken to gain reward for some fine efforts in defeat. Richard Hughes' filly has only been seen in handicap company once before, when a sound fourth at Newbury off a 2lb higher mark. Happier has also held her form admirably and seems to go particularly well for Toby Moore. Jenny Jerome and Amelia's Joy are considered too.
Prediction : 1st Lahan Kingman 2nd Nzuri 3rd Happier

The penny has suddenly dropped for RIDGER and he built on a couple of near-misses by landing the odds at Wolverhampton and over C&D. He is up a further 5lb, but is clearly progressing at a rate of knots. Fellow hat-trick seeker Iconic Times has been freshened up since a determined Catterick triumph, but a bigger threat might come in the shape of Dark Mandate. Eve Johnson Houghton's charge got off the mark as the market suggested he would at Wolverhampton and will be expected to kick on. Credit Forgedd It and Penfolds Grange complete the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Ridger 2nd Dark Mandate 3rd Iconic Times
