DETROIT MAVERICK went well on his hurdling debut at Gowran Park at the beginning of the month. He made the running that day and only gave best at the second-last hurdle, a fair effort on his first outing since finishing fifth in a bumper on very different ground here in April. The more experienced World As One has a rating of 112 after just losing out at Tramore in April and he was a strong favourite to win on his return to action at Downpatrick a month ago, only to be brought down at the first hurdle. City Of Cork was beaten quite a way on each of his three bumper starts last winter. Racing too keenly did nothing for his chances when last seen at Thurles in March. Prediction : 1st Detroit Maverick 2nd World As One 3rd City Of Cork

The lightly-raced HASHTAG DOYEN showed up nicely on her first run in handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse earlier in the month. She looked to hold every chance early in the straight and might have finished a little closer with a slicker jump at the final hurdle. There could be more to come and perhaps she can put it up to the likes of top-weight Pahlavi, who got the better of an odds-on favourite to win at Downpatrick, and Kelly's Cosmos, who wasn't beaten far at Galway recently. Frontier Rose could also be fancied on her run at Navan last month. Prediction : 1st Hashtag Doyen 2nd Pahlavi 3rd Kellys Cosmos

On her first outing since February, WICKED PLEASURE was making her debut over hurdles when a fair fourth to the well-supported Culldoo and the subsequent Limerick winner Kimi De Mai at Roscommon last month. She's likely to get closer now and if her jumping improves and she might be winning this at the main expense of Red Acres Georgie, who was well clear of Shadonagh when runner-up to the selection's stable companion Ash Hobbs at Fairyhouse two weeks ago. Katie Can't Count had Run For Power behind her when runner-up to Astelia at Killarney, certainly her best effort so far. Prediction : 1st Wicked Pleasure 2nd Red Acres Georgie 3rd Katie Cant Count

SILLY MONGOOSE has gone close on his last two starts and might just be up to the task. Three subsequent winners have come out of the race he finished third in here at the beginning of the month, his first start in 11 weeks, and the well-supported favourite that beat him to win at Punchestown last week went close to following up at Limerick. Market Ready goes back into a handicap hurdle after running a big race in a maiden hurdle at Tramore in August and he looks a danger along with Private Policy, who got up in the last stride to win over a longer trip here, and the less-exposed Bobby Kirova.Prediction : 1st Silly Mongoose 2nd Market Ready 3rd Bobby Kirova

The in-form LA NOTE VERTE can complete the hat-trick over fences. Very impressive when scoring easily over 2m3f at Listowel recently, the Willie Mullins-trained mare should be ideally suited to this small field. With an official rating of 135, the daughter of Australia sets a clear standard and may prove very hard to beat in this company. Emily Love, who goes with first-time cheekpieces added, has plenty to find on ratings but looks the main danger to the selection. A prolific winner over hurdles, the Gordon Elliott-trained mare finished well behind La Note Verte at Listowel on her penultimate outing. Bynx and Littlebiggie may fight it out for third place. Prediction : 1st La Note Verte 2nd Emily Love 3rd Bynx

A faller at the last when still in front at Listowel, KINGS JET can gain compensation. While he still had work to do on that occasion as the final two fences were omitted, the Cormac Farrell-trained gelding was travelling well at the head of affairs and looked sure to play a part in the finish. Provided his confidence hasn't been affected, the six-year-old should be able to make amends. Shock Killarney winner Woodstream Lad is respected, despite being an 8lb rise. Notably, the David O'Sullivan-trained gelding is a previous winner over hurdles at this track. Galway runner-up Prince Palace was no match for the winner on that occasion but should be competitive once again. Prediction : 1st Kings Jet 2nd Woodstream Lad 3rd Prince Palace
17:05 Clonmel
A dual winner over hurdles at this track, MOUNT SHENSHAN can exploit a lower rating over fences. While she has yet to open her account over the larger obstacles, the Tom Mullins-trained mare has reached the frame on three occasions and returning to her seemingly favoured venue could see her break through. Hit The Frame was an early casualty at Ballinrobe last time but posted some fair form in handicap chases last season. With Danny Mullins a positive booking, it would be no surprise to see the gelding produce an improved performance. Wing Back is one to keep a close eye on in the betting market. Prediction : 1st Mount Shenshan 2nd Hit The Frame 3rd Wing Back
