Darragh O’Keefe and Henry De Bromhead combined to win this race last season with Zurich and hopefully they will repeat that victory with ROCKONLIAM (best priced at 9/2). The six-year-old has won all three starts so far this year with the latest two coming over fences at Wexford. He won by 4 ½ lengths over this intermediate trip before winning easily by six lengths over a longer distance last time with an impressive overall jump index of 8.0 and 9.73 lengths gained jumping.
That proven experience over fences will hopefully give Rockonliam an advantage over a few of these as well as having the fitness edge over the likes of Lisbane Park and De Temps En Temps who are also making their reappearances. An 11lb rise from the handicapper is fair and he should run well with four places available.
