BLAKE'S MONARCH won by two lengths at Redcar and only went under by a half-length to Bill The Bull (2lb worse off) last time out at Newcastle. If he gets a soft lead as expected, Jack Callan could set his own fractions to come home in front. Space Dreamer got stuck in the mud when fifth at Hamilton, but should be far better suited to conditions here.
Prediction : 1st Blakes Monarch 2nd Bill The Bull 3rd Space Dreamer

Moulin Booj breaks from the one stall, which should allow the dual C&D winner the chance to drop in behind the early pace to produce a challenge, although he has been put up 3lb for his latest victory and needs a career best. BONA FORTUNA justified favouritism at Wolverhampton by a neck last month and although upped 2lb, Luke Morris keeps the partnership intact and they could well follow up. Shes Got A Brother is unbeaten here so is worth some thought.
Prediction : 1st Bona Fortuna 2nd Moulin Booj 3rd Shes Got A Brother

Hickton won this last year and although he was a very poor seventh on soft ground at Hamilton, a return to the all-weather could see a much better effort. Miss Veronika intrigues after two bumpers were followed by three starts over five to seven furlongs, but the consistent MASEGO might be the one. A winner at Leopardstown in May and placed three times since, he has his first run for Tony Carroll and gets the nod.
Prediction : 1st Masego 2nd Hickton 3rd Miss Veronika

Ring Of Music shaped with real promise on his debut and looks certain to put that experience to good use, but it might not be enough if NATIONAL ANTHEM is forward enough. The Camelot colt is related to a couple of smart sprinters, but he's also a half-brother to French Group 2 (1m2f) winner Baroud and his dam is a half-sister to Order Of Australia. The Gosdens' charge will need to negotiate a wide draw, but he's worth chancing. Political Resident is also noted.
Prediction : 1st National Anthem 2nd Ring Of Music 3rd Political Resident

GEOMETRY was almost able to right the wrongs of a slightly disappointing introduction when touched off here and he should relish the step up to a mile so is expected to break his duck. Dubawi colt Kings Medal went unsold at the breeze-ups in May, but there is more than enough in his pedigree to suggest that he'll be a key player. Frankel colt Jebayli, whose dam is a sister to Benbatl and a half-sister to Guineas heroine Elmalka, is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Geometry 2nd Kings Medal 3rd Jebayli

Kev notched up a second career success at Wolverhampton and is likely to be one of the leading candidates along with African Spirit, who was also triumphant at Dunstall Park last time. Lili Marleen is anything but consistent but she went close here and would be on the premises with a reproduction, although the vote still goes to CROWN THE FUTURE. Tony Carroll's three-year-old was an impressive winner at Wolverhampton and with Charlie Tucker's claim negating a 5lb rise, this could be another good opportunity.
Prediction : 1st Crown The Future 2nd Kev 3rd African Spirit

Finn Ironside bids for a hat-trick on the back of recent wins at Newcastle. He has to be of interest, while Shaw Park also enters calculations having placed at the track on his last couple of outings. However, ANTHROPOLOGIST scored off today's mark on the Tapeta back in March and, having finished a close third when last seen over C&D during the summer, Michael Herrington's charge looks worthy of another chance.
Prediction : 1st Anthropologist 2nd Finn Ironside 3rd Shaw Park

Restless at the start before missing the break at Yarmouth, FLICK OF AN EYE failed to land the odds and has been gelded since. The son of Blackbeard could well bounce back in this, with a repeat of his debut third at Newbury probably good enough to see him off the mark. Runner-up over 7f in both starts so far, Crystal Dark could have a say over this shorter trip, while Hunstanton and Al Arraab are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Flick Of An Eye 2nd Crystal Dark 3rd Hunstanton

UNCLE SAM has been threatening to resume winning ways. Ray Craggs' inmate went agonisingly close at Newcastle last month and it could be his turn again raised only 1lb for those exertions. Edmond Halley has also been thereabouts of late and he remains of interest with cheekpieces back on, while Piperstown should be sharper for his recent comeback having landed a double on the Tapeta back in the spring.
Prediction : 1st Uncle Sam 2nd Edmond Halley 3rd Piperstown
