Arctic Force has been off the track since July, but he represents last year's winning yard and is another likely improver. Olympiacos posted a better effort when attempting to make all at Yarmouth and could make his presence felt too.

IRON STONE LAD boasts the strongest form. The Cracksman colt followed an encouraging debut effort at Newbury with a solid second over the mile at York, whilst giving the strong impression this extra yardage would play to his strengths. Caldo also found one too good in a similar contest at Nottingham last time. He's going in the right direction and will likely prove competitive once again, while Skylar is most appealing of the remainder.

Few of these inspire confidence and only a speculative vote can go the way of TAYLORMADE LAD. Michael Dods' charge started the season off 10lb higher, and he could well bounce back having gone close when encountering soft ground last term. Take The A Train debuts for his new trainer having finished second at Newcastle when last seen back in April. He could shape well, while Ten Sixty Six and Parole Officer also enter calculations.

This should be a fine opportunity for NASCONDINO, who sets the standard with an official rating of 79 after finishing a creditable second at Nottingham. The son of Coulsty was making his turf debut on that occasion and natural improvement may well suffice here. Rowlf was extremely disappointing on his debut at Epsom but looks certain to leave that performance well behind, while Wadacre Icon appeals most of the remainder.

THUNDER ROAR hasn't been in great form this term, but there were signs of life at Haydock latest and he might be worth chancing as a result. The seven-year-old won the corresponding event from 4lb higher in 2024 and is actually 11lb below his last winning mark. Conditions will suit and this probably isn't quite as competitive as his latest assignment. Naepoint didn't run too badly at Ayr and is likely to benefit from an ease in class, whilst Yafaarr might be worth more than a cursory glance too.

HEAD FOR FREEDOM appeared to relish testing conditions when filling the runner-up spot at Ayr and that earns him the vote ahead of recent C&D winner Uncertainty, who does have something to prove should the ground remain soft. Phoenix Of Dreams returns to the grass after winning at Kempton and looks capable of another big run, as does Kiss Me My Love, who was only narrowly denied by the reopposing Uncertainty last time.

BIG APPLE JACK failed to see out 7f on testing ground at Ayr earlier this month but a drop in trip may prove just the ticket. The four-year-old remains only 3lb higher than for his Hamilton triumph in early September and he edges the vote over Impressor. Phillip Makin's inmate has been in good heart of late and was successful here off 9lb higher back in October of 2024. Hares Bredth and Star Allure are others of interest.

Showtime Mahomes arrives on the back of a solid second over C&D and a 1lb nudge up in the ratings shouldn't prevent another bold showing. That said, WISE CRACK has proved consistent since scoring at Catterick in July and is more appealing having already been successful from his current mark. It is interesting that connections persevere with 1m novice winner Degale over this sharper trip, while Night Emperor has the form to be involved too.
