The Harry Angel colt continued his forward momentum when getting closest to a subsequent winner at Chester and his trainer has a good record at this venue.

Taryn Langley used astute forcing tactics in both legs of a brace of wins MY MATE MACKLEY posted at Brighton and a similar effort on the front end can see the partnership complete the hat-trick at a course where prominent racers tend to do well. Knicks might not be inconvenienced by a wide draw if they come to the stands side off the bend and he is too well handicapped to ignore in this company. Similar comments apply to Profiteer, while Eldeyaar is a C&D winner to bear in mind.

Marching Mac is worth considering on the back of a game victory at Yarmouth, although a 5lb penalty might prove to be an anchor in this slightly deeper race. Quercus, who is a multiple C&D winner, and Aberama Gold also enter calculations based on their previous exploits at this venue. However, MANILA SCOUSE is at his best with a strong pace to aim at and he could have this set up nicely for him, with the ground conditions a big factor in his favour.

Decem Starr and Highfield Viking are others to keep an eye on.
