TIP 1: RAMBUSO CREEK – ½ point each-way (four places)
Best odds of 11/2 at bet365 while publishing.
RAMBUSO CREEK wouldn’t be the most reliable of characters in general terms, but he does save some of his best form for today’s track and with the hope that a return to his happy stomping ground revives him off a moderate run last time, the seven-year-old can keep the ball rolling for his in-form stable.
53 winners from 294 runners, a strike rate of 18%, is quite remarkable for a small yard, and this son of Tagula has contributed two of them along the way.
Coincidentally, each victory has come over today’s course and with the latest instalment coming over the C&D two starts ago, it makes sense to stay loyal to that form line rather than his tame effort over a furlong further at Yarmouth last time out.

TIP 2: EBT’S GUARD – 1-point each-way
Best odds of 4/1 at bet365 while publishing.
EBT’S GUARD hasn’t got the rewards his endeavours have deserved this season, but today’s contest represents a golden opportunity for him to sail off into the sunset with a victory his body of work craves.
The only two times the son of Cable Bay didn’t finish in the money was when he got no run in the Spring Cup at Newbury and a similar fate awaited him in the Golden Mile at Goodwood later in the campaign.
Other than that, he has been on the premises in some of the best mile handicaps in the calendar and if he would have had a better rub of the green, he may have ticked off one next to his name.
His latest exploits when third in a 20-runner field at Ascot typifies his performance levels and having finished a creditable second in this race last year, he can hopefully go one place better if he can raise his game for one final fling.

TIP 3: COOLNAGRATTAN – ½ point each-way (four places)
Best odds of 13/2 at bet365 while publishing.
COOLNAGRATTAN posted a career high on the figures when third behind Serenity Blue over the C&D last time out and with today’s contest representing a slight drop in grade, the four-year-old has a decent chance of getting off the mark.
The four-year-old has just had the six starts so he is a difficult one to pigeonhole just yet but his run here 19 days ago suggested he may have a future on the all-weather at this track throughout this winter and beyond.
Although he faded into third having looked a big threat turning for home, his speed figure in defeat pinpointed his fine effort and a run of a similar magnitude should lead to him being in the thick of the action in today’s weaker event.
