Tom Clover brings this 3-year-old gelding for just his second run on turf this season. The trainer has been amongst the winners in the last fortnight and currently operates at a strike rate of 20% which is made up of 2 winners from his last 10 runners.
PURE MOON brings some eye-catching form into the race, both here at the course, but also with softer conditions underfoot. That form line I am alluding to came on racecourse debut when he was second in testing conditions and finished ahead of horses who are now rated 82, 74, 76 and 77.
Pure Moon returns to Nottingham off an official rating of 71, which based on earlier runs, would suggest he could have a sizeable number of lbs in hand. He steps up in trip today and further improvement is plausible for the extra distance, which makes him a good each way bet, as the only selection of the day.
