TIP 1: ROYAL INFANTRY - 1pt Win

Best odds of 2/1 at bet365 while publishing.

Having the “Future Star” Silver Bowl Novices’ Chase and the Grade 2 Rising Stars Novices’ Chase on consecutive days at Aintree will mean that both races appear likely to cut up. The favourite No Drama This End is jocked up on Saturday, and Harry Skelton is also jocked up on Talk To The Man on Saturday and ROYAL INFANTRY on Friday rather than his two stablemates. The Dan Skelton trained seven-year-old justified strong market support to win at Hexham on his reappearance, beating the 140-rated Jeriko Du Reponet by 7½ lengths off level weights.

Royal Infantry finished 2nd behind Kiss Will on his only previous start over 3 miles last season, and this trip at Aintree should prove no concern for him. Klimt Madrik finished 2nd behind Talk To The Man on his chasing debut at Worcester when last seen and looks the biggest danger to the selection, but I expect Royal Infantry to follow up his recent success despite having to shoulder a 5lb penalty.
