After his 4/1 winner yesterday, Steve Ryder picks two best bets for Friday's racing action.
12:40 Aintree
TIP 1: RISKY OBSESSION - 1pt
Best odds of 11/8 at bet365 while publishing.
Watery Borren was an impressive winner on his hurdling debut a fortnight ago but may struggle to concede 6lbs to the talented bumper performer RISKY OBSESSION. The Dan Skelton trained five-year-old won an Irish PTP prior to winning a Warwick bumper by 6 ½ lengths in striking style.
He can be excused his next run at Newbury in a listed bumper where he struggled late on in heavy ground before bouncing back to finish 6 th in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in April.
The form of that race is already working out well with his stablemate Forthfactor winning on his hurdling debut and it was interesting that Harry Skelton rode Risky Obsession over the winner that day at Aintree. He wears a first-time hood and tongue tie combination for his reappearance to try to help him settle and he looks the one to beat.

TIP 2: KOOL RAOUL - 1pt
Best odds of 3/1 at PricedUp while publishing.
The Lucinda Russell & Michael Scumadore stable had a disappointing summer period with only 4 winners from 64 runners between June and September but have hit form recently with 14 winners from 72 runners in October and November. One of those victories was by KOOL RAOUL on his reappearance when making all over this course and distance to win by 5 ½ lengths.
The handicapper has raised Kool Raoul 6lbs for that success which is fair and although he is likely to face competition to the lead from the likes of Snowrocco and Punxsutawney Phil, he should hold strong claims
