TIP 1: FLASH MAN – 1 Pt Win
Best odds of 10/3 at bet365 while posting.
This progressive 4-year-old can benefit from his initial outing of the season which will no doubt have brought him forward from a fitness perspective and he can resume the progression that saw him win a maiden hurdle with other good performances off the back of that win at Plumpton last season.
Although he was getting weight in that novice event he put 5L between himself and the now 133 rated Dan Skelton trained, Loriko and that is now looking like a nice piece of form.
FLASH MAN has been dropped 1lb for his first start of the season when running into third at Chepstow but now drops in class and is in receipt of weight from all but one other runner in this small field. I would expect him to get much closer at the finish today and could add to his win tally at Sandown.

TIP 2: IRISH PANTHER – 1 Pt Win
Best odds of 4/1 at bet365 while publishing.
It is a bit big day for Kopek Des Bordes who will need to eradicate mistakes that saw him finish second in The Arkle at Cheltenham which was followed by that fall at Punchestown meaning he did not complete the race.
He is far too short of a price for me to want to get involved with given the question marks around his jumping ability and IRISH PANTHER can put that jumping under serious pressure this afternoon.
A horse who was late to take to chasing but there were serious considerations from connections as to whether they would roll the dice and run in a Champion Chase even though he carried novice status. That was the decision that Eddie & Patrick landed on and although he was well beaten at the festival, he is a horse who appears to run better when lining up in Ireland.
He has a good record when running fresh and although the prices suggest that there is a fair bit to find on the favourite, I would not be so sure, and I am happy to get to get involved with a 4/1 shot who’s jumping is much sounder than the Mullins hot pot.
